Passengers (2016)
Sappy chick flick disguised as a scifi movie, but not bad.
The ship was beautiful. I really liked the design. Jennifer Lawrence rocked it with some good acting when her boyfriend came back to life, very expressive and dramatic. "Passengers" was too sappy, though. It was mostly about their relationship. There wasn't enough action, or mind-bending scifi creativity. Chris Pratt acted well. It was courageous of him to grow the long beard, get drunk, and show how depressed he was. The scene when he almost committed suicide was dramatic, as well. Gotta' fill in the required number of characters to post this review, so... Not a bad movie, had its good points. Not a bad movie, had its good points.
The Blacklist (2013)
Creative, unexpected plot twists!
Unexpected plot twists! I really like the the action, and the characters. Sometimes the characters make incredibly stupid decisions that don't make any sense, but it's a silly Hollywood TV show, so what are you gonna' do? I started watching The Blacklist recently, and I'm in the middle of season 2. It is still entertaining.
Starry Eyes (2014)
Atmospheric, haunting, kept me watching!
What will Sarah do for fame?... REALLY do? She pays the price, and commits one unforgivable SIN after another. Twisted, violent, and dark.
Creep (2014)
Creepy and twisted
Good villain; charismatic, narcissistic, endearing, evil. This is a great example of a cast of two keeping things moving along quickly.
Layer Cake (2004)
Story is not believable
At the beginning of the movie the Daniel Craig character doesn't need money. He's already rich. And he's already sick and tired of the cocaine business, so why does he need ANY of this drama? He should just leave, quit, move out of London. Why does he owe anybody ANYTHING? The story seems forced and manufactured because there is no reason for the main character to be there, dealing with other people's petty problems.
Revolver (2005)
No action, pointless, boring
Revolver is very slow moving and tedious. Check out The Bank Job or The Mechanic, great action flicks.
Extinction (2015)
It's a zombie movie. That's OK, but ...
I was looking for something a little more creative, something really cool. The moment I saw zombies I was sort of like, "Oh no, NOT another zombie movie". I have to admit I didn't watch the whole movie. I wasn't in the mood for a zombie movie. But it's probably OK.
Hollywood Ending (2002)
Woody Allen is hilarious. Top of his game.
Woody Allen is even MORE neurotic and hilarious in Hollywood Ending because his character is blind. He's smashing glasses, knocking over tables, and stumbling through this movie. It's ridiculous and fun.
Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007)
Creative violence, balls to the wall gore, creepy, no stupid love interest
Short and sweet, creative violence, good blood and guts, creepy atmosphere. A worthwhile horror flick.
