Good final closing
14 October 2023
I liked it a lot!!! Since I can't stand injustice, it seems very good to me that someone defends good people. Each of his movies has been different for me, even though he has played the avenger in all of them. This one is not boring at all, as I have read in some reviews. Let's see it's not James Bond, nor Mission Impossible, it has some action, but the good thing about this movie is what Denzel does, his heart, his feelings... Although sometimes it is too violent, but there are people who only understand violence. With this I don't want to justify it, but there are people so bad, so bad that they mess with the most vulnerable who deserve the worst. Another thing: do they speak Italian? But in what country have they seen it? In Spain there are subtitles every time they speak Italian, and even so I think it is perfectly understood. And Dakota Fanning is glad to see her older than in Thirst for Vengeance. Also, the place where the film takes place, "beautiful" and makes you really want to visit it, with or without a fight included. Too bad it's the last one in the Saga.

A great merit
14 October 2023
Without wishing to compare, this second installment fascinated me much more than the first, and that is already a great merit. The Equalizer 2 is, without a doubt, the most serious action movie I have ever seen. It has at most 3 or 4 action scenes, but they are simply SPECTACULAR, raw, literally, the drama is so palpable that you get into the boy's skin. Second parts never manage to be better than the first or maintain the constant quality of the saga. In this case, there is the same pause to become attached to the people with whom McCall interacts. His demons, his readings, that lost time, this vigilante needs redemption, to do justice for his friend, to fulfill his wife's promise, this vigilante in the shadows and his rules of life, as a survivor he gives you lessons in a vibrant action movie, Washington's performance is MASTERFUL, you become an accomplice, Highly recommended, and the ending is BRUTAL. Bravo to Denzel and Fuqua!!!

The Equalizer (2014)

Mix between action and drama
14 October 2023
How "The Equalizer" became one of the greatest modern action sagas should surprise no one. The film, by investigating the dual morality of the main character, turns this film into a crossroads of what is or how to reach the most positive conclusion for the greatest number of people. The plot from the first minute focuses on exploring the personality of Robert, an apparently positive man with the moral action of helping whoever is in front of him, but with a disconnection from the world in which he currently lives, not really feeling like he belongs. Nowhere, neither with his co-workers nor with himself, being more a remembrance of what he was more of who he is today, having an apparent connection with Teri, both seem to get along so well because of the limbo in which his life finds himself. , they are so different but with the same uncertainty about their lives, they are aware that they are not happy where they are currently, but they know that they cannot get out of there, it is the most they can aspire to, while Teri faces it in a more gray, Robert sees it as the possibility of having a connection with a group of people, since without that work he would have no purpose. Being a reminder for me of how three-dimensional people are, not being a cliché in their profession or in their actions with others, each person has a double face that they do not expose to everyone. Something that I really liked about this film is how they do not glorify violence, it is more the driver of such an extremist resolution to which they have pushed the character, since Robert moves and justifies himself in using said violence for a greater good. That directly affects other people and not only himself. Teri's apparent kidnapping by the Russian mafia is what forces him to come out of "retirement" and return to being a "vigilante"; having an amoral dilemma in his actions, not being governed by the actions he does but by the results achieved, not acting violently for himself, but to help others which in a certain way for me makes him a modern "Robin Hood" ; having a "clemency" to whom he faces, since in his construction he always provides a second option before dispensing justice, either with the police that makes them choose to return the money to those who had been asking for a bribe, or with Frank to who gives him the option to turn himself in even if it ruins his career as a police officer. The confrontation between him and the Russian mafia being the only way to regain his personal "freedom", since they interfered with Robert's close circle, this film being more than a story of revenge. The message, how I perceive it, is that having a group of people around you makes you get up every day since a person without anyone around him will hardly have motivations in his life. Whether in the first act when Robert helps Ralphie become a security guard, or in the third act when he has to risk everything to save his companions from his personal feud with the mafia; Closing this subdialogue is how Ralphie returns to help Robert, even if it is an apparently suicidal mission, supporting and helping others almost never goes unnoticed.

An unexpected gem
27 March 2023
I think Benriya Saitou-san, Isekai ni Iku is still a good proof of how this kind of stories still work out with the correct approach. I wouldn't call this serie "underrated" or "hidden gem" thought, because it got the rate it deserves, something that the serie itself acknowledges. The short skit format, which helps in some aspect, also limits some others, but it's not that the serie is wasting its own potential; it preferred to keep it like that, being a more lightweight story with a deeper background, but scratching the surface. It's a serie that is perfectly enjoyable for what it is, but hardly will be remembered except for some few punctual moments, and THIS IS PERFECTLY FINE, the serie is fine by itself...but just that, fine, which at the same time is kind of sad.

Blue Lock (2022– )

The premise is quite interesting
27 March 2023
Overall, Blue Lock is a fine show, despite all my criticisms. It can be quite exhilarating to watch sometimes, in the big moments, but the edgy dialogue and humour wasn't all that great. The characters are quite weak overall, while the story was up and down. One thing I found funny was that the 2022 World Cup happened during the airing of this anime, because I felt it unintentionally promoted this show a bit more. As for my enjoyment throughout the show, I thought it had quite an unimpressive first half, and then the story improved towards the end of the series. It's unfortunate that the animation degraded as the second half went along, or else I would have had a more favorable impression of this show overall.

The Whale (2022)
7/10
Disgusting and inspiring
26 February 2023
Put bluntly, Brendan Fraser has shown us that he can do more than just good-natured and crude characters that defined his stay in his early years in the cinema. Now, The Whale has allowed the actor to reinvent himself and build a human being full of complexes, feelings and regrets for the decisions he has made in his life and despite this, he seeks meaning at the end of everything.

Even so, we cannot say that it is a hopeless film (as has happened in other Aronofski films by the way). The Whale is also a call for the protagonist of him and through facing his fears to find his own forgiveness in the attempt to, in his own words, do one thing right in his life.

I had a blast watching this movie
15 January 2023
I'll admit, I had a blast watching this movie! It has a lot of cool fights and an interesting plot. The plot isn't all that unique though, that's the only part that is disappointing. If you've seen the anime Bleach, then you know how their 'arcs' go. Bleach tends to do the whole "someone gets kidnapped, Ichigo has to go fight a ton of people and then save them! The end." That's exactly what happens in this movie too. If you haven't watched or read Bleach, I'm not sure if this movie will make a ton of sense. There are several things that happen that link to the original story. But even if you haven't seen Bleach, I think you might still enjoy this movie if you like Shounen animes with lots of battles! I enjoyed watching it a lot and would even be willing to watch it again! All in all, it's a great movie!

The movie is rather worthwhile to watch
15 January 2023
The movie is rather worthwhile to watch. So I'm going to try not to spoil for anyone so you guys can watch it for yourselves. First of all, the story was mediocre. It didn't really contain the BANG! Movie watchers would want to have and even seemed unworthy of the long wait for the subs to come out.

However, I loved the art. As always, Tite Kubo is a great artist, although his story might not be great, looking at the characters is always cool. The sound was not especially good, and I wouldn't say it was too bad either. I'd give it a fair really, if you ask me. I much rather the action scenes have more boom and bang but it was okay.

Diamond Dust Rebellion had to be one of the better movies, until now. The storyline is both interesting and enjoyable, reminding the viewer of the eventful days when Ichigo first stepped into soul society. The only downside for me is the lack of appearance of Ichigo with his hallow mask.

Revenge based on a grudge from the past
15 January 2023
Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion takes place in the Bleach universe, as the title may suggest. It focuses mainly on 10th squad captain Hitsugaya Toshiro, so if you're a fan of him, you'll enjoy this movie, and if you're not, you might not find it interesting. If you're neither of the former, like me, you'll probably enjoy it too.

Another thing I believe long-time Bleach fans will find enjoyable is the animation quality, which is at the very least astounding. With awesome lighting effects, very fluid character movements and high attention to detail, it surpasses the normal quality of Bleach's animation by many levels. If I could, I'd set the score to 15/10.

The soundtrack is awesome as well, with astounding tunes that fit right into the mood of the movie, amplifying the scenes and events as well as a soundtrack should. DDR's soundtrack is one of the few that gets the honor of being downloaded to my computer.

I found this movie to be very touching
14 January 2023
It is best watched after episode 63, the end of the soul society rescue arc.

The first thing you will notice is that it feels like a movie, and not just because of the beautiful animation. When someone is sent to soul society in the series, most of the time it feels routine; just something they always do. In the first scene, however, everything is different. I was completely moved. The main reason for this was the way they cut into the title screen. As I watched the girls' spirit rise through the air, they began playing an original theme song. I always say that anything can be enjoyed more when you feel the connection between audio and animation. From the moment I heard that song, I knew this film was one to be remembered.

I liked how you get to see all the characters from the series again, most of whom were not seen after the end of the soul society rescue arc (Kenpachis' entrance is just awesome). Although most of them do not get much screen time, it is not a problem. The focus of the movie is on Ichigo, a shinigami named Senna, and these mysterious white figures. It does a good job providing us with the background of Senna. We get just enough information to keep us curious. The villains are somewhat typical, but I do not want to spoil anything. It is for this reason that this gets a 9

Bleach: Memories of Nobody is an unexpected treat that is very enjoyable, and does the series a great justice. An overall amazing movie.

Chainsaw Man (2022)

Pochita is life
14 January 2023
The OST is really one of a kind and complements the show extremely well. The visuals in the opening contain many western film references that will be appreciated by some. The actual opening released by Kenshi Yonezu fully embraces the unpredictable and erratic nature of Denji. The soundtracks composed by Kensuke Ushio also play perfectly into the fight scenes. Additionally, the eeriness of some of the other tracks in his soundtrack leaves the audience unsettled and pushes them to think if there is more to the scenes than meets eye. The 12 different ending themes was an original idea that were delightful touches to end an episode off on. The abstract visuals in the endings were also solid inclusion that referenced what happened in the episode nicely.

Overall, Chainsaw Man impresses on so many levels I think it's safe to say it delivers on the hype it got. From its extraordinary characters to its technical brilliance, Chainsaw Man is really a cut above any recent shounen that's easily become one of my favorites. As someone who has recently read part 1 of the Chainsaw Man manga, I can definitively say this is only the beginning of something exceptional, and I'm really excited to see how they animate the upcoming arcs.

A jewel
14 January 2023
Very unexpected, very different, cool, juicy art, juicy music, fancy animation camera angles, fancy effects.

Everything about "Bleach: Sennen Kessen-hen" screams Wow, this is so different from what the old "Bleach" was.

Bleach has never looked better. Thousand-Year Blood War presents an impressive transformation for the series that hopefully will continue throughout the run. The action scenes are crisp and inventive. Quincies are a terrifying villain group that is very effectively established with minimal screen time. The anime mostly elevates the source material, often improving upon the original work. Some comedic relief was lost in the adaptation process, but that's a small price for a beautiful adaptation.

Ozark (2017–2022)

The series is a crime drama
21 September 2022
When it started, Ozark was impossible not to compare (lower) with Breaking Bad, but it was able to find its own personality and convince the unbelievers that we decided to give it a try.

Ozark is film noir in the interior of the United States, with a handful of cursed characters that devour everything in their path and corrupt everyone around them. It is also the American dream inverted, showing the progress in business of an enterprising family that destroys the physiognomy of a small town and that of its villagers. The decisions they have been forced to make for their survival have been impulsive and reckless. Sometimes they seemed to find pleasure in the proximity of danger, in playing with fire and getting just a little bit burned. In the possibility of playing gods and discovering that they could win.

Stranger Things (2016–2025)

A very interesting series of mysteries
21 September 2022
Dark, creepy, and wonderfully intriguing, this series set in the 1980s will remind you of many a sci-fi or horror movie from this era, in the nicest way you can imagine. There is little violence and gore, but the atmosphere is very tense and scary, and because there are relatable child and parent characters, the whole family will have someone to root for. Stranger Things is a bit spooky for younger kids, but tweens and teens will be interested in the mystery and finely drawn characters, and adults will be amused by the vintage clothing, technology, and prices, as well. The bravery of young heroes, who are always ready, willing and able to avert catastrophe when the adults in their lives fail.

Money Heist (2017–2021)

Quintessential Spanish heist drama
21 September 2022
The core of the series revolves around several elements that are highly popular with viewers: action, romance, comedy, suspense, and even heartwarming moments that help sympathize with criminals. It is fair to say that the plot presents several moments of anguish throughout the different seasons, where the characters' character and loyalty to the group are tested. The creator of this series, which is based in the city of Madrid, Álex Pina, has managed to make the series live a natural progression, coming to offer in its last season something that has power, a little oxygen to the disturbing climate that lives in history.

Dark (2017–2020)

Good time travel series
21 September 2022
The plot of Dark is not easy at all: it is convenient to see it with a notebook next to it and write down the evolution of each character. You cannot see this fiction without being part of it, without an effort on our part.

It is then a complex production, full of universes to discover. If we had to summarize it, we could assure that it is a science fiction series, full of mysteries, complexities in human relationships, with a bumpy timeline and a network of characters that invite us to discover new aspects of each one in different ways. Stages of their lives. And we would fall short. Time travel is one of the keys to this German event. Although we have seen them ad nauseam in different movies and series, in Dark these journeys are different.

It's complex
21 September 2022
The Midnight Gospel may not be for all tastes, but those who dare to immerse themselves in their universes will not be disappointed. On the contrary, he will emerge from them even more eager to live, to know and understand the world in which he lives and those with whom he shares it. But above all, eager to travel with Clancy to another universe beyond our own and return with a new pair of shoes. For many, "The Midnight Gospel" is an analogy to life, a journey in which we need others to reach our destination and in which, as we go forward, we find "inner truths" that help us understand why what we are what we are A highly recommended series, but one that should not be taken lightly, it is not just another cartoon and not just another podcast. It is an internal experience that can help you wake up from the lethargy in which society absorbs us.

Final Space (2018–2021)
9/10
It's a space comedy with a lot of potential
21 September 2022
Final Space is totally a tribute to all the space stories that you can think of (perhaps I'm exaggerating) either with winks, plot twists, or complete tributes with the sequences. And yet, it has its own identity.

You will find a lot of elements that you have been able to see or read in other works of fiction, so you can immediately feel comfortable with what Final Space offers you. Another addition is that it begins like any other science fiction series, but at one point it mutates, and includes elements from other genres, such as fantasy, or its own mythology, fitting everything together in a calculated way.

If to agile dialogues, surreal gags, and a story that knows exactly where it is going, we add a few doses of trickery and resources to emotionally blackmail us, I think you are going to surrender to this series.

Primal (2019– )

A simple story that does not need dialogues
21 September 2022
Dispensing with dialogue sharpens the ingenuity and everything rows in favor of us being able to connect with the director's proposal: the body expressions, the growls, the silences and the sounds of the jungle are precise. The montage is excellent. Planning perfect.

It may be that in these times when we like fictions to be complex, the simple proposal of 'Primal' of survival adventures may seem somewhat insufficient. But I promise you that if you watch just one episode (they're self-contained, so there's an added bonus), you won't miss anything you could have asked for. I, at least, am more than satisfied.

Vikings (2013–2020)

A series that was differentiated from another great series
21 September 2022
It is difficult to end a series like this to everyone's liking. Naturally, there are imperfections and successes; there are 79 episodes and calibrating and measuring each and every one of the details so that they fit together, so that there is no dissonance, so that the end, ultimately, of each character and plot makes sense, is something that does not usually happen. I particularly like the closure of the protagonists; there are details, however, that resonate with a shoehorn. The English creator was determined from the outset to differentiate himself from series such as Game of Thrones, with which he has been regularly compared (something I have never understood), and to adopt a historical vision in which to house fiction.

Swords, magic and a particular sense of humor
21 September 2022
The Witcher, the Netflix series, is based on the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski and not on the CD Projekt RED video games. Which is not an obstacle so that any fan of the games that has not gone through the books cannot find here a very good series starring one of his favorite characters, of course. In fact, at a visual and design level, for example, it is not difficult to find parallels between the avatar that we can handle in games and the Geralt embodied here by a magnificent Henry Cavill; between the places that we have been able to travel with a controller in our hands and those that we are going to contemplate in the series.

Rick and Morty (2013– )
10/10
An animated series for an adult audience
21 September 2022
Despite the fact that the series might seem at first glance to be more of the same, the truth is that you are surprised to discover that it touches on quite serious topics such as drug problems, alcoholism, relationships, depression, suicide, genocide, sexual violence, etc. Accompanying all this with a dose of black humor, which particularly fascinated me. In addition to the incredible plot that the series has, we have the characters, with whom it is very easy to empathize due to their personalities and constant development.

Finally, Rick and Morty is a series full of intergalactic travel, very extravagant experiments, some gore, and a lot of black humor that also deals with issues as complex as existentialism, in short, it is an incredible series with a lot of potential.

Castlevania (2017–2021)
10/10
A series that caused pleasant sensations among the community of gamers who were waiting for an adaptation to match
16 September 2022
On a visual level, Castlevania is downright impressive. The animation is beautiful and fluid, and the action still has enough weight to keep things grounded. While the series still retains much of the game's Japanese roots, the backgrounds, color scheme, and overall style are heavily influenced by Gothic and Baroque art, while keeping in mind the franchise's video game origins.

Castlevania's second season is far from perfect, but it takes the building blocks of its first batch of episodes and does what any adaptation of a revered video game franchise should do, which is satisfy longtime fans while giving the uninitiated a treat. Something fun to eat.

In Season 3, Castlevania's fight scenes seem elaborate and expensive, so it makes sense that it's not action-packed all the time. Netflix's Castlevania works because it's using its new medium to really explore these characters and this story in a way that games can't.

Castlevania Season 4 is a largely satisfying ending to this stellar video game adaptation, even as it leaves the door open for future stories (...) There are definitely some hiccups, but Castlevania Season 4 does the right thing with these characters, giving them satisfying endings.

It's not a groundbreaking movie, but it's brilliantly directed and reminds us why it's so great
16 September 2022
Two points must be emphasized: first, that there is no point in watching the movie if you haven't seen Breaking Bad until the end, because you will eat more than one spoiler and you won't find out about a lot of references The second point to keep in mind is that, in reality, the story does not progress too much (it moves less than we would have liked, honestly), we are not going to find any incredible plot twists that alter your perception of the series. All we see is a kind of epilogue that serves to do some justice to the character of Jesse Pinkman.

Of course, we run into some action sequences, tense moments in which the protagonist must hide and shootouts in which it is as important to be the coolest in the neighborhood as the most ingenious. Those sections of El Camino irremediably remind us of the high points of Breaking Bad; This is a hostile world, in which everyone looks after their own and people tend to have two faces, but if you keep a cool head and value your possibilities, you can manage to impose yourself.

Breaking Bad (2008–2013)
10/10
A masterpiece in a nutshell
16 September 2022
First of all, loud and clear: this is a barbaric series that manages to surprise with unexpected plot twists. Not only I say it, but there is a unanimous consensus of critics who consider it one of the best series of all time. Reason: an unbeatable script that exploits the tension between the characters with the so-called pressure cooker technique. Without a doubt, one of the best episodes of the series is "The Fly" in which the flying insect comes to represent the obsession, pressure and paranoia of a character on the edge.

Secondly, its great virtue is that it is not an unnecessarily long series. We are tired of seeing notable series that do not know how to put an end and that end up lowering the bar of their episodes by limiting themselves to "covering the file". It is not the case of Breaking Bad: it is being on the crest of the wave because its creator wants it that way and that risky decision, not only must be respected, but you have to take your hat off.

The explosive mix of genres has been one of the formulas for its success: it has moments of drama, but the performers (magnificent) have also found their moments to introduce comic touches. Originality is one of the series' best calling cards: Breaking Bad is unlike anything you've seen before. And how thankful. When you start, you won't be able to stop.
