Dead Still (2020)
Too many dumb moves
First of all the show is nothing like the way it is described. The police didn't drag the photographer into anything. He asked if the photographer would help him and that was the end of it. It led to nowhere the main plot. The lead detective was an idiot but wasn't intended to appear that way. He took one person into custody and later found him dead in his cell. He believed he had been murdered. He later got a fuller picture of what was going on and knew that there was an organization looking to kill an American he had just arrested. But what does he do to protect him? He puts him in the same cell by himself and without a guard. So, there was no surprise to anyone with a brain that he was a dead man. Everyone, except the lead detective. A woman is kidnapped on the street within hearing and eyesight. He was oblivious. And he needs to work out his theories with his wife who seems to understand more than her husband.
The male lead starts out as someone you can like but as the series goes on, he becomes somewhat of a villain in my opinion. And his thought process is off too. An organization is killing people to get a book that had been stolen. The male lead accidentally possesses the book they want. Instead of turning it over to the police he tells someone to destroy it. This makes no sense. Why would anyone in the organization believe him when he says it is destroyed? If they did believe him, they would be pissed that he destroyed it. So, they would still want him dead. If he turned over to the police, the organization would learn that the police have it and would be less likely to go after him.
It was kinda a dumb series.
Justified: City Primeval (2023)
Not that bad.
I don't get all of the extremely low ratings. The show isn't that bad. No it is not as good as the original but it has potential. The daughter is not very good. But she is biological daughter. So, I am guessing her presence on the show was Timothy Olyphant's idea. He clearly must have over estimated her abilities or views her from a parent's lens. They could send her back to her mom for season 2 and I would watch it. Justified was one of my favorite shows of all time. So, I am glad to see it's revival. I hope it will get another season. Raylan is a great role and can go in so many directions with the show.
Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021)
Enjoyed it
I don't get all of the gripes. I thoroughly enjoyed the show. Yes the plot line is something that has been used many times. You know why? People like it. It works. There isn't many ways to innovate crime shows. There is a cop, bad guys and victims. I watch these shows because I want to be entertained. I don't need the show to be innovative for that. I also don't understand what is so confusing about the show. I was able to follow it just fine. My advice is to watch the show and draw your own conclusions. If you give up in the middle of the first episode, you haven't seen enough to make an informative opinion.
Space Force (2020)
Critics can suck it.
I love this show. I rarely laugh out loud watching a comedy at home alone. This show had me doing just that almost every episode at least once. I have no idea what the critics are seeing that I dont. It is smart and funny. John Malkovich and Steve Carell are great together. The cast is golden.
