The Last of Us: Look for the Light (2023)
To short and rushed but still a good episode
It was way too rushed and short, it really makes me more mad that they wasted time with the whole "Karen" episode, now that we know it had no influence to the plot.
The "Rambo" "John Wick" sequence was also a bit over the top, and the episode really wasted time with the whole birth thing, even though it was a nice cameo with the original voice of Ellie.
With all that said, I actually enjoyed it especially when they focused on the bonding between Joel and Ellie.
Now the fact that this final is only 45 minutes long, including Credits, I really can't get over.
We got 1,5 hours of a side story with Bill (which I loved) and the first episode was also 1,5.
So I really don't get why it was so short, especially when they dedicated a whole episode to a story about how Ellie was bit.
I feel like they ran out of content, we got 3 filler episodes, instead of a episode that could have been used with more Ellie and Joel bonding.
Now Yes I am pretty harsh here and that is only because of the enormous hype and prestige that this series has.
If you wanna be around top 10 of all time this stuff can't run.
However still a way above average tv-show and good adoption overall, it rightfully deserves a 9/10 IMDb rating.
The Last of Us: Please Hold to My Hand (2023)
Perfekt and precise adaptation with a twist
This series keeps on delivering the last couple of episodes were flawless and this episode is no different. I absolutely love that they keep true to the original story with a few modifications and some characters added here and there this episode really set the standard for future adaptations of any sort.
I like this episode and the reason why I have given it a 10 out of 10 it's because you really get to see Joel and Ellis bond building up this episode is packed with excitement, humor, action and emotion.
Perfect world building, and a extremely exciting cliffhanger that makes the anticipation for the next episode even greater.
