Disappointing and Upset
14 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Now, I love Eurovision. It's a fun, camp, mess. I'm a super fan. And I loved this final so much, truly an incredible experience, but once Ukraine's points were announced, it was all over. It's baffling to me that a song contest designed to showcase creativity, have fun and unite countries has just turned into a pity-fest. I liked Ukraine's entry, but it was FAR from the best one in the contest. And it's not just the fact that I personally didn't like it, it was clear that they were just trying to recreate the power of SHUM by Go_A, Ukraine's incredible entry from the previous year. And it won by HEAPS only because people felt bad because of the invasion. Obviously, it is an immensely tragic event, but I don't understand why that should dictate a music contest. Spain, Serbia, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Lithuania, Netherlands, even the UK which I hated, all scored lower because of the politics. This is not about the subjectivity of music, this is about how the world felt the need to pity Ukraine's fairly mediocre entry to the point that it WON this incredible contest. No thank you.

Anyway, Serbia was my personal favourite and Spain was clearly one of the best entries in Eurovision history.

I'm mad and disappointed and just kinda bored.

Powerful
21 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was so ready to mark this one as another somewhat mediocre and slow early season 5 ep, but suddenly i was faced with one of my favourite moments in the show so far.

Anna Gunn completely steals the show with her pool scene. It's such a raw, powerful and emotional moment for Skylar, who despite her annoying moments in the earlier seasons and negative reception from the fanbase (lowkey think its just bc shes walt's wife and theyre misogynists) has proven to be one of the most interesting and relatable characters.

I still have all the rest of Season 5 to get through, but I'd say it's the third best moment in the show yet! Top 2 would be Gus's death and The Crawl Space ending.

Walt and Skylar arguing and him manipulating her, hearing her misguided plans, she wants the cancer to kill him, Jesus Christ.

Whatever else happened in this episode doesn't matter, it's enough to be one of the best so far. Amazing!

Masked Ball

Overall, a pretty standard and boring episode, the highlight being the introduction of Denise Bryson, Coop's old colleague who has transitioned into a woman. At first I cringed, expecting a stereotypical 20th century negative mocking depiction of a transwoman, and while there are problems here and there ("...it suits him", "transvestite", Denise being played by a cisgender man) the overall positivity of Denise's character is astounding, being shown as a smart, hard-working woman who cares about Dale, whom is confused at first but almost immediately accepts her identity as soon as she says "I prefer Denise". It's heartwarming to see the main character in a show from the 1990s accept a trans character so easily. It's truly one of, if not the first portrayal of a transwoman in TV that wasn't used as a joke, in fact the wonderful David Lynch does not turn Denise's identity into a joke at all. Truly heartwarming, although the rest of the episode often felt quite lackluster overall.

A hilarious critique of Gen Z fake-woke Performative activism. So many laugh out loud moments and as part of their generation, it was kinda relatable. I suspected that the "homophobe" was gay from the beginning. Anyway, a very underrated show!

A Love It Or Hate It Episode
26 November 2020
...And I loved it! A beautifully dark, depressingly real portrait of the reality celebrities like Britney Spears have to go through. Honestly, if someone told me the whole plot twist of the episode was real - it sadly wouldn't even be too shocking. 8.9/10

If you don't know the full context of this... odd episode - be grateful.

Just cry at his death, and laugh at his funny chopped-together lines, and the fruity little club, and Darth Chef. Just... enjoy it.

Jeez, I don't know if I love or hate this episode.

My head kinda hurts.

Mr. Scientist!

A hilarious episode, in what is so far the best season of South Park. Love him or hate him, episodes focused on Cartman's schemes (Scott Tenorman Must Die, Casa Bonita, etc.) are always the best.

Weak

7.4/10 I recently started watching all of South Park in order, so I know I'm bound to find some mediocre episodes. This one was quite funny, but really just uncreative and only made to rip on Barbara Streisand. Not terrible, but definitely the weakest of Season 1.

This is The Worst?
9 November 2020
6.5/10 Yeah, it's not a great episode, but apparently this is the worst?? I started watching South Park finally a few days ago, and so far I've watched almost 50 episodes! And this is the worst? Really? Wow. I'm excited!! If this is really the worst it can get, then yeah, this is an amazing show!!

Masterpiece

...and I don't just throw that word around. This series was just so unique, creative, horrifying, emotionally intense. I never cry at anything and yet I was weeping at the finale. Ryo is one of the greatest fictional characters of all time, the last two episodes were two of the greatest episodes of television I've seen in my life so far, and all in all this series is just amazing. It's only 4 hours long in total, 10 episodes all on Netflix. Watch. It. Well, it's not for everyone. But it's definitely for me. 10/10!!

An average episode, until the end. An emotional conclusion to the Danbury arc, I honestly can't believe they actually named their machine after him.

Breathtaking

Danganronpa is a great franchise, and usually the anime that comes out of it is enjoyable, but nothing incredible. Until this episode. Half of the episode is hilarious and bizzare, the other half is traumatising. In the first game we had always heard about the Tragedy, but never anything direct, until now. A lot of people may think it ruined the subtlety, but it was still amazing. This episode was breathtaking, and the Tragedy was indeed tragic. Please, watch it.
