The Son (I) (2022)

Devastatingly sad

Having lost my 26 yr old nephew to suicide 16 yrs ago this movie really hit home.....I knew nothing of the storyline before I saw it and it truly is an eye opener.. Outstanding performances of all the cast but must say never been a real Hugh Jackman fan but he was perfect in this role as the father...Laura Dern his ex wife and Vanessa Kirby his new wife dealing with their depressed 17 yr old son.. We need to be aware of those around us and watch for signs of depression and losing the will to live....so very very sad. Its a movie I wont forget for a long time.

Not recommended for those who have lost a loved one through suicide.

Shark Waters (2022)

Frustratingly boring

Bad acting.....bad cgi......bad script.....I was sick of the captain narrating everything that was happening.... I was hoping he would die as his acting was soooo bad...all the characters sound like they are reading from cue cards.....only 6 people get killed.....80 mins of wasted time and money making it I wish someone would make a superior shark movie..maybe a remake of JAWS with superior CGI would be better?

With all todays technology these cheap crappy films should not be made Dont know why I bother with these B movies ...guess I am a glutton for punishment and dont learn lessons from the past.

The Maltese Holiday (2021 TV Movie)

I have been to Malta 4 times 2019 being my last....the hotel is a big American one....there is nothing like this in Malta......its too cold in Malta in December to swim..a fireplace in the dining room when its suppose to be warm?!

The acting is abyssmal....the Maltess people sound French...its embarrasing....no research was done before it was made...Shows how ignorant the Americans are....will put anyone off if interested in visiting Malta.

Dont watch this its just too terrible..badly acted rotten scriot cheap sets.... wishy washy heap of crap....nauseus.... The barman is a know all love counsellor.....terrible.

Worst movie ever made!

I love Cate but her long speeches grated on my nerves! Turned it off after 10 mins......4 million gross at the box office..I wonder why?

Not worthy of an Academy Award nomination let alone winning one.... The awful singing in the long opening credits was an omen of what was to come.

Cate hasnt done anything for a while so it seems she was desperate for the money. Dont waste your time with this one...glad I didnt pay to see it I would have asked for my money back. Dont know how anyone could like this movie or say anything good about it. The most annoying lead character in cinema history. Go outside and watch the grass grow its more exciting.

Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Total dissapointment

Where do I begin? 2hrs and 27 mins of what? A 90 minute run time would have been better and where was the scene at the drive in theatre with the T Rex?

This movie had no wow factor at all....the franchise should have really ended at JP 3.... I could never take anyone negotiating with a velociraptor...went home and watched Downton Abbey A New Era and enjoyed that 100 times more So glad this film franchise has become extinct and we can let the dinosaurs rest in peace.

Boring as hell

I was hoping the volcano would erupt.....fake set inside volcano....crocodile tears on the lame acting main character.....the snake looked like a rubber one being pulled along....nothing interesting about this movie at all......no suspense.....annoying music and a total waste of time overall....so many bad films were made over the last two years this is one of them.

This movie left me an emotional wreck.... How devastatingly sad I love Mark Wahlberg A true story as well Beautifully told and acted.

Joe Bell takes a road trip across America campaigning against bullying at his sons High School.

Wasnt funny wasnt scary wasnt anything.......too much yelling and people talking over each other........its like an Agatha Christie Whos the Werewolf? Queeny gay couple has been done tiringly in movies of late.......most unlikable cast.....sloppy script......bad direction.

Watching a sumptuos 4k version.....nice definition and technicolor superior display skintones perfect as previous versions made Jennifer Jones' face look too muddy...Playing audio and video through arc on a Yamaha YSP 5600.... For a movie made in 1947 4k makes it look like it was made a year ago...David O Selznick would love seeing this remastered print...he would be proud.

The only thing scary about this movie is the acting.....give me a Djinn and tonic.....who leaves a mute child home alone? Who directed this? No dont tell me.....Set in a drab apartment a lone mute child wanders around it waiting for Daddy to come home....even a lit candle doesnt ignite leaking gas in the apartment. So many bad movies have been spawned by Covid....this is one of them!

Watching this at home while its playing in a local cinema feeling sorta glad I didnt pay to see it.....plenty of action.....too many puns and one liners....seen it all before.

Watching this now.....turned off Bruce Willis about 5 movies ago....I find his so called acting very wooden....watching on my 4k 75 inch screen Willis walks around with that same blank look on his face and no emotion whatsoever...lotsa gunfire...there we go Bruce kills all the enemies in one shot where 20 soldiers with guns didnt get anywhere.....its all been done before just hope Bruce dies at or hopefully before the films 88 minutes run out....I dont think I will last the full run time

Dont watch this with your elderly mother....the sex scenes are graphicly depicted.....gratuitous nudity and hard core sex in the orgy scene...leaves nothing to the imagination....annoying soundtrack....shot in black and white for what reason I dont know.....acting average.....cant connect with the characters and a no explanation ending.....nothing resolved....glad I didnt pay to see it

The most ridiculous movie ever made! The two lead characters are atrocious....Did they really have acting lessons? The costume designer should be hanged Tessas outfits were awful and that bad I am surprised anyone in the movie showed interest in her.....she looks like Adele and I cant stand her! His annoying English accent and bad boy character was so cliched....dont remember seeing Selma Blair but thats good cos I cant stand her either....my USB stick now has space on it for a better movie.....so glad I didnt pay to see this rubbish!

James cameron got a lot of ideas from this movie.....this version is the best and 1953 Titanic with Barbra Stanwyk comes in second.......unlike the 1997 version this movie doesnt focus on just two people...its a perfect telling of a tragic event....the guy in Camerons film that says women and machinary dont mix plays the part of the guy who spots the iceberg in this version....do yourself a favor and watch this one....also there is very little music in this version which makes it seem more real
