Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare (2023)
Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare: A Night to Remember
Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare is a pop culture comedy film that takes place in a boys hostel over a single night. The film is directed by debutant Nithin Krishnamurthy and features a bunch of newcomers as well as some cameo appearances by Rishab Shetty, Pawan Kumar, Diganth Manchale and Divya Spandana.
The film starts off with the usual cliches of college life, such as ragging, pranks, romance and rebellion. But things take a dark turn when the hostel warden is found dead in his room with a suicide note blaming the students. The boys are shocked and scared, but they also have to deal with their exams the next morning. What follows is a series of hilarious and thrilling events that keep the audience hooked till the end.
The film is a refreshing take on the campus drama genre, with a lot of humour, suspense and twists. The director has done a commendable job of creating a realistic and engaging atmosphere with his cinema verité style of filmmaking. The dialogues are spontaneous and witty, and the characters are quirky and relatable. The cinematography by Arvind Kashyap is brilliant, capturing the chaos and tension of the night with his hand-held shots. The music by Vasuki Vaibhav is catchy and adds to the mood of the film.
The acting by the newcomers is impressive. They have a natural chemistry and deliver their lines with ease and flair. The cameos by the established actors are also enjoyable, adding some star value to the film.
Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare is a fun and creative film that will appeal to the youth and comedy lovers. It is a one-night saga that hits the bulls eye with its style, substance and humour.

Come for the story, wait for the twist!
This relatable yet refreshing movie gives a new meaning to the word thriller. Even though I am not the biggest fan of the thriller genre, this movie grabbed my attention and kept me on the edge of my seat.
With a mix of well known actors and new entrants, the story tugged my heart strings while covering the reality of having pets in a metropolitan city. The hard look at the reality of losing something close to your heart and gaining unexpected support from the internet are themes that you and me can relate.
Whether you like animals, movie making, thrillers and suspense or a good story, this movie is worth it. Go watch it today!
