Season 1: Great, Season 2: An annoying drag
Season 1 starts off very strong. The suspense is amazing. The only problem is, not a SINGLE question is answered throughout both seasons. Questions like (SPOILER ALERT!!!):
Why is everyone there/why were they "chosen"? Where are they to begin with? Why do the monsters talk instead of scream now? Who do the voices inside of Sarah's head belong to? What was with the whole officer Boyd and chained up man situation? How on earth did the chained up man throw a rope to Boyd when both his hands were shackled? Why is the main family so dumb? Why aren't people allowed to carry weapons when, you know, there's danger everywhere. Even if the weapons can't kill the monsters, there are others things out there apparently (and you guessed it, we still don't know by now what those other things are). Why on earth do these people keep secrets from each other when their main goal is to escape? For the love of sweet baby Jesus, why do these people talk when they know they shouldn't (like when Victor and the mom were in the monsters cave and then in the truck with no talisman?! They can't possibly be that stupid! And why on earth have they not told anyone they found where the monsters live?)
The list goes on and on and on. WRITERS, I'm gonna give you some solid advice that almost every show fails to realize at some point in time: You do not have to make characters completely moronic in order to build suspense!!!
Overall, season 2 is being dragged out way too much. I just want answers. Heck, I'll even take just one. There were a couple episodes in season 2 that were completely useless. There was no progression, no character development, no answers, nothing. Just me asking myself why on earth people keep acting like they don't have common sense.
Yes, I'm ranting. But watch both seasons and you'll be ranting right along with me. This show has so much potential. Hate seeing it go down the drain episode by episode. Please prove me wrong by the end of the season. I can only take watching dumb people for so long.
Edit/Update: You can only have so much patience with this show when they introduce 10 different things per episode, ignore them the very next episode, then introduce more new things. Up to season 2 episode 7 and still no answers.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Good Watch
This movie isn't exactly worth a 10, but it's definitely not worth a 1 either. Good action and suspense. Less plot holes than the first movie as well, but still some moments that make you go "really? I know you're smarter than that!" Overall, it's worth watching and the acting is pretty good.
The Walking Dead (2010)
Was Awesome, but now...
Here's the thing, everyone knows the earliest seasons are the best ones. No comparison. The later seasons just can't match it. Now, here in season 10, I find myself almost bored to death. I mean, WRITERS, you brought in new characters for a reason. Use them! I wanna know about them (kind of). I'm sorry if this offends all the hardcore Daryl and Carol fans, but I'm tired of seeing those people. Neither of them do it for me anymore. I feel like their characters changed, but not in a way that makes me cheer for them or need to see them. The format of the show is also super copy+paste. We get it. New group of villains, our groups team up and defeat said villains, major character dies toward the end, and we also get hardcore backstories of characters (which I wouldn't really mind if they didn't take up the whole dang episodes). Been there, done that. I think this season has potential, but only toward the very end do I think things will pick up. Hopefully. It's a great show, it just lost its pace/direction somewhere along the way. Honestly, I'm just sticking around to see what happened to Rick and his reunion with Michonne/the kids. So far, this season is... meh.
Dancing with the Stars (2005)
Tyra...Girl...No
Hear me out. The 2 star is specifically for the host, Tyra. If I based it off of everything else, my rating would be sitting at about a 7 or even 8. I love the contestants and judges because they're actually genuine. Heck, even the fake audience sounds more genuine than Tyra. She is not anywhere near sincere in this show, and you can tell EVERY time she speaks. Almost every time she asks a question to anyone I just want to change channels. Ok, ok. Rant over.
Ultimate Tag (2020)
I Can Get Into It
Honestly, it's not that bad to me. When I first heard of this show I thought it sounded stupid and would be as bad as it seemed. I was delightfully proved wrong. I'm not gonna lie, there are definitely parts you'll roll your eyes at. But, there are also many times you'll laugh and find yourself really getting into the show. Of course, you'll never admit it to anyone around you. Most of the athletes are amazing and fun to watch. Some could undoubtedly be replaced by the contestants they're trying to catch (no offense). Eh, you'll either love it or hate it. Only one way to truly find out.
The Lion King (2019)
Nah
I'm sorry, but I just couldn't do it. I could not finish this movie on Disney plus even with all the time in the world. How on earth does this have a 7?!?? The acting alone...whew! Great visuals, but the voices are so slow and unemotional. It's like they're trying to entertain a 2-3 yr old audience. To be fair I only made it to the 30 minute mark but from the other reviews I've seen, I apparently did myself a favor. Do yourself one too. Just don't. Go watch the cartoon one. It's a billion times better anyway. 2 for effort. Sort of.
