Hard Cash (2002)
This is like "The Room" of heist movies.
I have no idea why this is so bad, it's got plenty of actors who are normally great. The plot sounds fine on paper - it should be a pretty standard crime drama.
But, it's laughably poor in execution. Stuff happens that makes absolutely no sense. Characters make strange decisions and the dialogue is frequently bizarre. Weird camera angles and scenes that cut between each other that make no sense.
I'm still trying to figure out what was going on with Jose. I constantly had no idea what was supposed to be happening from one scene to the next. No performances saved this one either, the actors were either sleepwalking through it or equally perplexed.
My biggest regret is that I watched this sober and alone. This could be a good movie to laugh at with friends in the right frame of mind.

Good, but not great with a terrible ending.
It's low budget, but without the typical pitfalls of a low budget movie. The acting is mostly good.Daniel de Weldon is a highlight as the creepy main character.
It's not as smart, or dark as it's trying really hard to be. I'm surprised anyone would rate this above a 6, which I would've given it were it not for the ending. Shut if off with 10 minutes left and you'll be better off.
Life of the Party (2019)
Pretty effective short thriller.
While the plots a bit familiar ( I don't want to say to much to give it away.) the presentation is fresh.
At 22 minutes it clicks along at a great pace and kept me engaged to see what would happen next. That probably wouldn't have happened if it was much longer based on the idea.
Good performances from all the main cast.
