Emily in Paris (2020)
The American way all the way
Lilly collins is a fantabulous actor don't know how they convinced her to be in the advertisement for the long live american way.
The Crown (2016)
S04 made me cut down a star
I only started watching ' The Crown ' 1 week ago and I finished all episodes all seasons today and need I say that it is a visual marvel along with excellent story telling and the emotional range showed by the entire caste ? S1 and S2 are particularly very close to my heart as Claire Foy gives the Queen's character a certain charm that Olivia Colman could not ,regardless doing a wonderful job at her part. The reason I give this 9 stars is that I was watching this show as a feel good show but the last season made me resent the royal family in not a good way. Can't wait to see what's in it next ( well we do have some idea about what's next ) and it's safe to say it will be painful wait till 2022.
Mulan (2020)
It's not great, but it's not bad too
Ok. The only word i can think of after watching this was OK. Yeah it did not feel anything like the animated version but honestly, I'd take anything at the moment given circumstances. Was an ok family film.
Churails (2020)
Where Do I Begin?
I have waited so long for a series like this to come out of Pakistan. Anyways, I just finished watching it 3 hours ago, All the characters were exceptionally done and played by the actors except for jugnu ( there were some times where I was actually annoyed by her, EMPHASIS ON SOME *). The basic plotline around which the series revolved was Pakistani fan favorite topic " cheating ",take that and mix it up with some hardcore film techniques and you got churails. A majority of taboo topics covered that's time we start talking about now. 8/10 for character development. The cinematography was somewhat turning me on ( no jokes when it comes to cinematography ). There were actual easter eggs in the series something which was far from expected. The ending deserved an ovation of it's own. Had A banger contemporary soundtrack that is going to have a fan base of it's own now and BONUS POINTS FOR EMAN SULIEMAN'S GUEST APPEARANCE.
The not so good side of the series was that The series had a very slow start and i didn't have the urge of binge watching the show. it should've been done on a more renowned platform like Netflix or Amazon prime so people around the globe could get a piece of this masterpiece. We'd love to see more work of this type.
Vis a vis (2015)
Started for the boredom ended in the Fandom
I literally started this show because I was super bored and had nothing to do, but i ended up being a hardcore fan. The 1st 2 seasons, altho quite long dont feel long at all because the story very well keeps audiences engaged. Season 3 had a few fallout points but was moderately good. Season 4 was sliding off track from the beginning but the ending made up for slightly trashy 7 episodes. If I want I can give spoilers but I recommend you guys watch this as it keeps delivering fresh u-turns quite opposite from what you'd expect. Lastly, altho this is a crime thriller drama but I can't help how I adore the entire cast, especially with Najwa Nimri and how amazing of an actress she is. The actress playing Maca is equally stealing the light and how can we forget our lovely Nairobi breathing life into Saray Verges here? All in all it's a 10/10 but I gave it a 9 because of S04 lol. I recommend you watch it especially in these days when none of us have nothing better to do
Vis a Vis: El Oasis (2020)
Intresting start with quite an evident end
So I started watching this simply because I recently binge watched the entire Vis a Vis quadrology last month and I was hooked on how realistic it was with a perfect blend of drama, black comedy and emotion. On a scale of " Woah" to " eyeh ", El oasis was Meh! It didn't live up to expectation but I can't complain as the show creators were literally thoughtful enough to give us a glimpse of what happend to our beloved yellow tide characters. El oasis had quite the start but by episode 4 it kinda lost it's way. In episode 5 Zulema discovers that she has an inoperable brain tumor and so the ending becomes quite evident, how she would prefer to die with pride rather succumb to a tumour ( which by the way is proved in the finale). Episode 5 onwards is just a quest to try to make it to episode 8 with too many subplots, most of them just left where they were. Alba Flores made her last cameo as Saray so that was a plus point. Overall I wouldn't complain as I am obsessed with Zulema's character and got to see more of her. Her character and Maca as well are what are going to live on as a legacy of " Locked Up". Would I recommend? Well if you have nothing else up in your life, sure. #HastaSiempreZulema #PutaDelInfeirno
Toy Story 2 (1999)
You got me glued to my seat for this
Okay so if i had to just rate a specific scene. I would rate the scene where Woody is getting all dolled up 100/10 . That scene is so satisfying . even after 20 whole years.
The Lion King (2019)
Meh
I've seen a no. of 3d films but this one hurt my eyes . Will not compare this to the original one . Casually butchered the Villian hit " be Prepared " which by the way was a necassery chills creator for a child like me and important element of the film .
The Donkey King (2018)
Hilarious
Puns and great comedy . Nawaz Sharif ke kartoot us ke samne agye . Totally would recommend this as a family movie
3 Bahadur (2015)
Not very good , Not very bad either
The story was good and the kids enjoyed . Paise pure
Load Wedding (2018)
What a film 👏
This issue needed to be talked about and very well it was done here. Baby baji and ashir rafaqt are the highlight of this film. Had me rolling in the isle
Capharnaüm (2018)
Masterpiece
This film was recommended to me by an instagram friend whom I've never met in real life. Maybe we need to be best friends after this. Throughout the film I had tears in my eyes .Made me realise how we are not even thankful for the finest of things where someone in the world is dying to have it
Wrong No. (2015)
Yasir Nawaz , the film slayer
I dont think it even deserves a 1 star rating. But again everone has a different opinion .
Yasir Nawaz has quite well established himself as the slayer of expectations of Pakistani Film lovers with his tatti films
Mehrunisa V Lub U (2017)
Pathetic
Who even watches stuff like this . An unbearable film that you can't even watch 1 time
Actor in Law (2016)
Sets the bar
A totally out of the blue with a powerful duo . sure to leave you laughing and aware of the problems day to day Pakistanis feel. Would love more films like this
Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017)
Sure to make you roll in the aisles
I saw it 1st show Eid day with a jam packed theatre. Did not regret at all . The movie has beautiful scenes , dresses and amazing soundtrack. Aside from from Fawad Khaggas toxic masculanity problems. The film is a win win . Mehwish Hayat is fantastic. Recommend this on a family movie night
Hichki (2018)
Why is no one talking about this ?
Hichki is a stunner. I think this is my favourite Rani Mukherjee film . The movie is comic and impactful with quotes that will keep you up at night and ponder. Totally recommend. Excellent family film
Saat Din Mohabbat In (2018)
Unbearable
The trailer really created some hype with a different sort of storyline but the movie fails to carry on the different scenario and unfortunately pushes back to the same old boy girl love plot . Just when you think it cannot get any more cringey , Shehryar is there to prove you wrong. Even Mahira Khan can't save this drowning boat. Waste of time
Aladdin (2019)
Enjoyed it but a one time watch
The mavie fails to recreat one of the most epic fairytales of all time. The 6 star rating is only because of wonderful performances of Will Smith and Naomi Scott . It's a one time watch and does'nt creat an urge at all to watch it ever again
Instant Family (2018)
Loved it
A light hearted comedy that makes you tear up towards the end. Mark Whalberg and Bryne have done an amazing job and so has Lizzy ( Dont know her real name )
Laal Kabootar (2019)
Action Packed suspense like no other Pakistani Film
I'm stoked why can't you give a half star rating to a film here. Because if that was the case I would've given it 9.5 / 10 . Its definately something new and fresh to come out of Pakistani cinema . I think our people are not used to films like these but truely it was a perfect blend of action , drama , suspense , thriller all topped with a great soundtrack. Definately must watch
Interstellar (2014)
I have no words
I first saw Interstellar when i was 14. I did'nt have a clue what i was watching . Fast forward to 2018 I watched it and kinda liked it , yet i could only make up some of it . So , I started watching it again & again & again till I had no idea that I had already seen it 14 times consectively . It all makes sense now . This film is one of the most scientifically acurate
( tho science fiction ) and enough to bring a person to tears. I can't really put into words how much this movieeans to me.
Crawl (2019)
The Crocs should win a best debut award
Are you looking for a movie to watch with your friends ? then this is the one . Crawl has the perfect balance of jump scares , horror & suspense . I don't get why people didn't do this movie good. It's a decent one
Andhadhun (2018)
WOW ! Just Wow
Andhadhun is one of those few Bollywood gems that need to be treasured. It provides an excellent refreshing break from the typical Indian movie story line. Just when you think the movie can't get any exciting , it provides the viewers clues to connect the dots. extremely well done and thoroughly engaging . I'm pretty sure If I had seen this at the theater , I wouldn't have seen anyone getup during the movie
Inception (2010)
Slow and steady wins the race.
Inception is a slow starter. In the beginning it seems like the movie is going to mess with your mind & that's exactly what it does . Starting off slow , It really transforms into a stay calm thriller adventure. Trust me you won't want to miss a second.
Chris Nolan has surely not let his name down. Must watch !
