Ruby Herring Mysteries: Prediction Murder (2020)
Terrible Acting
Wow....incredibly bad acting, especially from John Wesley Shipp who plays Ruby's dad...surprised they keep making these.
One Winter Weekend (2018)
Same Old Same Old
Picturesque British Columbia is the only reason to watch this film. The writing is so lame, with the predictable plot of girl distrusting boy (who happens to be super rich & wonderfully philanthropic). Of course he's hiding from the media and she has no idea who he actually is.
Hallmark.....phuleese get better writers!!
4 Stars for the location
Beast from Haunted Cave (1959)
Missing Beast
With a title that includes the word 'Beast' you might expect Big Foot or a Godzilla type creature....nope. Just an odd spider-like menace. Not scary, this is really a character study in disguise. Recommended for those who enjoy character studies, not so much for those looking for an exciting horror film.
Like Cats & Dogs (2017)
Fun Film With Animals!
Wasn't going to watch this movie because this is one of the very few times that the leading man's appearance was a little off-putting. I think it was his hair (super bad style that accentuated his baby face). But the fun story, plus Cassidy Gifford's performance drew me in. It also helped that I'm a sucker for films that include animals, and the cat & dog were super cute!
Definitely recommended
A Dash of Love (2017)
Surprising Good Mystery
Really enjoy all of the Hallmark mysteries that Jen Lilley stars in. Most of them have a restaurant theme and this is no exception as she falls for the executive chef (Brendan Penny) at the restaurant where she works. They make a wonderful couple. And of course there's always a touch of evil trying to ruin their professional happiness. Definitely worth watching!
