What a Movie...
24 May 2002
A movie that really touched me, and at the same time had a morale.

Some Boys in Denmark try to fight the Nazis, and the movie, is all about theyre fight against "the force".

Some great acting - especially Nikolaj Lie Kaas are doing a great job. Good directing to.

Pretty Cool Outside Denmark
19 October 2001
Its so cool that Festen, is so known outside Denmark... And its cool that other ppl have bought just as much into the idea of Doge as the Danish ppl has.

As one guy said, he wished he could understand Danish, cause the words just got to be even better in the orginal language, instead of subtitles...

So... From all in Denmark.... The greatest Thanx for bringing Festen to such a big ranking on the top 250... Hopefully it'll be there for some time, it certainly deserves it...

Totally Clean Movie - Goes Right In...
24 July 2001
The movie strikes right in and there's a great storyline behind it, written by Anders Thomas Jensen. But the difference for this movie and his other hit: "I Kina Spiser De Hunde", it's that this movie has a great deal of respect, it's not as "crazy" as "i kina..." but still it comes with just the right things. It's also nice to see Ulrich Thomsen back in Danish movies, after being in james bond it's still good to know that the Danish movie can "call" him back home. All in all a GREAT movie who is a lot better The "i kina...", it could that the person who Directed "i kina.." is a Danish stuntman called Lasse Spang olsen, and "Blinkende Lygter" is Directed by it's Writer- Anders Thomas Larsen... WE LOVE THAT GUY.

A "Fed" Movie
22 July 2001
I Saw this movie in the cinema, and was astonished. This was a movie, with a used concept, butt non the less a great entertainment value. The Acting was great considering it was mostly kids who played the roll. Butt has allso something to do with the fact that it was a Danish movie - they are (allmost) all great and is becoming even greater. The Songs in it is something worth talkin about there has been done a great job on the songs so they really deserve extra credit. All in all a pretty great movie with a grest humor and good characters and very, very good acting. It deserves its great Rating
