Funny Thing About Love (2021)
Enjoyable
This is a clean, enjoyable movie. The plot is predictable but there are not many movies out there today that are not predictable. The acting sometimes seems stiff but other times it seems fine. Jon Heder and Barry Corbin make this movie work. It didn't seem specifically like a "Christian" movie but the dad's prayer over Thanksgiving dinner impressed me.
It is telling me my review is too short so let's see what I can come up with. This has all the qualities of a Hallmark movie but I found it on Hulu live so I know it isn't Hallmark. It is good to see others making clean movies.
This is worth a watch.
Blown Away (2019)
Not what I had hoped
I got on here to complain (my first review ever) but it looks like everyone beat me to it! I was very excited when I saw there was a glass blowing show. It fascinates me. I can be a little naive so it took me a while to see the political agenda. I should have stopped watching after the potato debacle. A forgotten potato is not a botanical! I do find it interesting that the crew that pieced the episodes together let us see the winner's true nature and didn't make them appear more humble. I would be glad to watch a second season if I knew there would not be all of the political agenda again. My husband said he is out!
