Ridiculous - time to quit.
13 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
How was the killer supposed to have taken all that bleach into the current victims' house?

Almost half the bathtub's worth. Unnoticed by anyone?? Really?

I don't think he could have dragged it through the attics, that's a heck of a lot of bleach.

That logistical nonsense wasn't noticed by anyone - which made them look dumb imho - but there was a lot of that in this ep. Sloppy.

I don't think I can handle another ep with the character Kim Burgess, so I think it's time for me to give up on Chicago PD.

Unbelievable! If I'm wrong, I'll apologize!
17 April 2022
At the beginning of the show, Torres and Jay run to the door of the store at the same moment the would-be robber is running out. He grabs a woman as a shield and we see him clearly for a second. In this scene the robber is wearing a navy blue hat, and a solid navy jacket It's puffy and has fur trim on the hood. Inside the store, a woman witness tells Jay the robber ran out and she thinks he is wearing a RED hat. They run out of the store, spot a guy wearing a really bright red hat and catch up with him. He's wearing the bright red hat and a camoflage jacket with no fur trim.

Huge blunder - ruined the entire episode.

Ridiculous!
28 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
There was no explanation of how a woman, the size of Nance, managed to even get the dead body into a car - much less dump it up an atv trail only accessible on foot, a bike, or atv ! Just awful.

Would be a 10, except for...

...the music! Way too loud, can't make out the dialogue without using closed captioning! Turn it down - WAY down!!

Great episode, plot, and characters with more going on for future episodes.

Really liked that they showed, and are weaving into the series, the tragedy of young people who have no one and end up in the worst possible situations - rather than preaching, or reading lines that stand out like a flashing sign and are delivered in cringeworthy form - which is what most other shows seem to do.

Good work here, in my humble opinion.

Loved it! My all-time fave show, I've watched from S1 :)

Warning: Spoilers
They found a brilliant way to have Gary Cole replace Gibb's character as leader, and I'm SO glad! Offering the job to Tim and having him refuse it, and then Tim explaining with a lot of passion and emotion what his reasons were to Nick - and those reasons came to him because of his deep feelings for Gibbs - perfect! Now the team won't be torn apart - that's what I was afraid of if Tim had taken Gibbs' position. It's Tim and Nick that hold this together and separating them would have been disaterous imho. In the last couple of years, Gibbs hadn't played much part in the stories anyway, and his character had become too cranky and sullen - negative - for me. I think the series is going to be rejuvenated by these changes and I'm really looking forward to it - it was time for Gibbs to go.

SO good! (with one little exception...)
28 September 2021
Felt like top quality all round, to me. Loved the filming - thought the night scenes were awesome - so were the chases. I felt lots of connection between the characters - and in the scene where Sophie is being interviewed I thought the quick, unspoken communication betweeen the 3 people was an amazing, great touch.

Lots to admire throughout this one - 10+ stars, if they hadn't brought in Julian McMahon.

Great promo for British tv and Netflix, Amazon & others, and Movies.

Everyone's young and beautiful, characters old and typical though - and I couldn't believe the shot where they actually featured the high-heeled pumps worn by the one female higher-up! (Sry I don't remember any of their names)

Worse than a daytime soap. My real rating would be a big fat "0".

Been a fan since Season 1 - and now...
7 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ever since Gibb's over-the-top meltdown and resulting suspension, I've believed Mark Harmon was going to retire - after all, he's no spring chicken, and it's been a long run . And, having his real-life wife on the last few episodes convinced me beyond any doubt - until the very end of this finale.

I don't think he's leaving - unless he's going with Bishop - or another agency. I nearly jumped off my chair when the boat blew up - I'd been thinking that having him cruise off into the sunset in his finally-finished boat was probably a suitable ending, although disappointingly clichè. Then the explosion (thank the lord I wasn't holding a hot coffee) - then, when he swam - aha! - YESSS! It was a setup!

Something's afoot here, and I can't wait to see what turns up next season! (I sure hope I'm right, or I'm going to be an awfully disappointed fan).

Did I miss something? At the very end, why did Burgess end up in a car alone? I loved this episode - really gripping all the way through and the acting was awesome!

Why didn't Jamie just tell Frank?
7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Of course I enjoyed seeing the story play out, and the crew in their roles - I love them all.

They should've just stayed with the crime, it was interesting.

But, they tried to create a big family rift and problem for Jamie and Frank, and they reached too far - they cheated.

There was no story there, because Jamie wouldn't have had any reason to hide his reason for what he did during Jill's arrest by the rookie in the first place. He could've just told the rookie her story - "problem" solved. If rookie still made a fuss that made it all the way to Frank's office, then Jamie could've simply told Frank. Why on earth didn't he?

No one would have objected to his attempt to help a heroic veteran in her miserable circumstances.

Awesome! One of the best ever.
31 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Even with this gripping, tense plot, they managed to work in some humour (Anna's comment about Arkady) - which to me is what makes the difference between a heavy, grim hour's watching - and a great evening's entertainment.

They packed everything into this episode. Hit all the emotions, frustration, love, empathy - and great acting.

Doesn't get any better than this one!

The hokey scene with Hannah and Carter and coffee was just embarrassing.

Absolutely great!
28 November 2020
Wonderful episode. A ton of work and talent went into that episode, so obvious - characters, plot, flashback, all seamless; complexity, and no ripping from the headlines or filler dialogue - absolutely first-class imho. And reviewer jeffreycrippen has a great idea about a series for young Gibbs and Ducky - what a natural spin-off - and we definitely would love it!

Giving it 7, for a good effort
24 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
They tried, and for the first Ep under these circumstanes I think they did ok. At least they didn't resort to "ripping from the headlines" and just bombard us with depressing covid, racial, violence and fear that's coming at us all day in real life. I did think they very end was pretty bad though - Callen's line to the 2 Russians - about "let's go and order tacos - for 3" - so bad it made me laugh - and that's really not such a bad thing, these days.

Tell me a story, draw me in, let me forget the world for an hour. That's what I ask.
16 November 2020
I've watched Chicago PD since its very first show. It's been one of my absolute favourites and I was so looking forward to the new season.

Now, more than ever before, when evening finally comes and I get to have my tv time, I NEED TO ESCAPE into a story, be absorbed in it for that hour of relaxation and entertainment. Having that relief from reality to look forward to every day is a huge help to me in coping with the present day's ugliness that bombards us from every direction all day, every day.

I only hope that the rest of the shows I depend on aren't going to let me down as badly as Chicago PD has.

Wrecked it...
13 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've watched this series since it began. Action-packed, full of insurmountable threats and problems, fantastic situations, crazy solutions and wild stunts. Fun. So it was lots of action, ridiulous situations, and good humour thrown in. Was. Then they had to make it serious...all this heavy personal stuff with Mac, dragging on and on, nothing but moaning and whining and Codex - then in this episode the unbelievable "betrayal" - I couldn't believe what I was seeing - they were all in on that prison set-up, then we're supposed to believe they'd throw all there years of friendship and trust out the window and believe Mac had defected because in his undercover he was too convincing?? Really?? I didn't think even the actors bought it - they didn't appear to deliver those lines convincingly at all. This can't be fixed, the "team" is no more - can't go back to caring, friendship and trust from here. They had a good thing, and they wrecked it.

They ruined it!
28 April 2020
It felt realistic when Joe Smith began ranting at Bishop and Torres, questioning them on their knowledge of WWII. UNTIL he challenged them on the attack on Pearl Harbour - and they both stood there and stammered, then both admitted they had no idea. REALLY??! Two Americans - both NCIS agents - don't know that date? Give. Me. A. Break. Could've been a good story, although I couldn't see why NCIS got involved in the burglary. I thought their evidence at the end was pretty far-fetched and altogether the whole episode felt contrived. We've been watching this show since its beginning and it's always been my No.1 favourite of all our shows. I hope this was a one-off.

Still not working for me
17 February 2020
Stayed for the 2nd episode. Michael Chernus and Russell Jones are obviosly good actors, and natural in their characters. They're relaxed and believable. They could draw me right into a story. Unfortunately, that's it. The rest of the cast, including Edie Falco, appear to be just walking through their roles - reading their lines. Edie Falco isn't believable as Chief of Police - the whole thing seems disjointed, no flow - none of this is working. Poor writing, poor acting, poor dialogue, poor. I'm done.

Just this episode...
21 January 2020
I've watched this series from its beginning and have always loved it. I love that they always keep some light moments and humour mixed in with a serious plot. Deeks is wonderful. I don't watch it looking for unrelenting realism - there are plenty of shows out there that thrive on giving the viewer a full hour of depressing, negative plots and characters. I watch this for entertainment - always fun, great characters, humour - set against the backdrop of a serious plot. Just this episode - didn't like the opening at all - weird. And I think the bit with Deeks' mom is getting old.

Boring

Had high hopes - started the first episode, got bored, gave up. Watched the second all the way through - that's the last boring tv night I'm giving this one.
