Supernatural (2005)
Unfortunate decline over the years, but still holds up.
Starting off I was immediately hooked onto the show. Mainly because of Sam and Dean being so much fun to watch. Jensen and Jared's chemistry on the show is so good. Other supporting characters too like Bobby, Castiel, and others also help the show. The show itself may be a little corny at times, but that's the fun of it. Yes the show may have gotten mediocre to down right ridiculous after season 5, however the first 5 seasons are entertaining, funny, emotional, and captivating. As weak as the later seasons may be, Jensen, Jared, and Misha are the reason why people still love the show. Even when the writing was at it's weakest the cast always delivered.
Scott Pilgrim Takes Off (2023)
Not terrible, but extremely underwhelming
The voice actors are awesome as well as the music. But the different approach to the story is what lost me. I get they were trying to do something different and they don't have to exactly copy and paste the comic series. But to just remove Scott from half the show is the worst case scenario. There are still so many moments in the comic that were left out in the movie that would've been amazing to see in this show. Not to mention the use of time travel towards the end is the most eye rolling thing imaginable. Again the voice actors are excellent and the animation is gorgeous, but have episodes 2-7 revolve entirely around, "Who took Scott?" Is the worst way to change the story.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)
Very entertaining
The animation was absolutely amazing along with the action and soundtrack. Miles and Gwen definitely feel more fleshed out in this one, however I feel that some of the dialogue gets to be a bit too corny and tries to hard to be quirky. I expected Miguel to have more of a role aside from the final 30 minutes of the movie, same goes for the villain who is introduced with a rushed backstory who only makes 1 more appearance in the entire second half of the movie. I did have a good time watching it and it's by no means a bad movie, just not the "Masterpiece" everyone is building it up to be and is certainly not, "The Greatest Animated Movie Of All Time".
