Love this series
22 February 2023
This is one of my favorite series on ID and I was happy the see a second season bc many of the new series only get one season and then are seemingly cancelled. I particularly like "true crime" series that have the real video and/or audio footage of the perpetrators whether it be interrogations, interviews, any sort of recordings made by the perp or someone else (especially when they are unaware), CCTV, or jail calls like on this show. I was a little disappointed to see that Season 2 Episode 7 was a repeat of one that already aired this season (I think it may have been a repeat of Season 1 Episode 1). If it's marked as new it should be but maybe it was a mistake on someone's part.

Almost perfect

Warning: Spoilers
Love the series but if they don't lose the Jamie/Beth plot line soon I might not anymore. It's not even realistic. She chose to have the abortion so he didn't cut anyone's baby from her belly...and as far as her getting sterilized, welp, that's what happens when two kids make adult decisions so she can't blame him. He was just a kid too. Not to mention, if she really wanted to have a baby with Rip, it's as simple as getting a surrogate (if she wants it to be theirs) or adopting if she doesn't care if it's her own. It's just not enuf of a reason for the utter hate she has for him. It's a dragged out, overused plot line and it's getting old.

Was a 10 before changing narrators
14 April 2022
I love this series and am glad that it has managed to stay on for a while now. However, this is one of those series where the narrator was the icing on the cake. For me, changing the narrator this past season really negatively impacted the show. It's similar to how I would feel if they changed the narrator on the series Snapped from the Oxygen channel. I'm not sure what the reasons are behind it but if it's possible to get the original narrator back I really wish you would.

Wish they'd make these more believable

Warning: Spoilers
Not much of a spoiler in this review- Come on! Everyone knows that Lifetime movies are typically pretty far fetched BUT...it's completely possibly to stay in line with the "unbelievable" theme Lifetime movies bring to the table and still make them slightly more "realistic". If a high school girl was smart enough to be selected as the Valedictorian and graduate at the top of her class then surely she applied to several colleges and not just the one at the top of her list? Surely she didn't give up on going to college or a university all together bc she didn't get into ONE college she hoped to? Then she manages to get thru registration and triage at the hospital emergency room using a fake name. I guess they didn't ask for ID (or get a complete history) or maybe they just didn't show the part where she got the fake ID with her new identity? That's ok, lol, I can let that one slide but making a successful doctor look like a complete moron was also too much. As if she (or anyone) would really invite a foster kid (who admits no one wanted her) to live with her without checking any background or references and only knowing her for the time it took to examine her arm in the ER. That is too unrealistic even for a Lifetime movie. These movies are a guilty pleasure for many of us and we all know they aren't to be taken too seriously but it's like whoever is writing the script for some of these movies isn't even trying. Is it bc they feel like they don't have to since it's a Lifetime movie? Is it bc they lack imagination? Maybe it's just complete laziness. At least the acting wasn't as over-the-top and full of cheese as plenty of others I've seen. Go ahead and give it a whirl. I wouldn't say it's unwatchable, just unbelievable.

Glad I haven't seen "A Bride for Christmas"
7 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Sounds like most of the negative reviews are based off seeing this other movie "A Bride for Christmas" bc that came first so I can understand I suppose. I haven't seen that one so maybe that's why I was able to enjoy this. I mean of course no one in their right mind gets married this quickly but I can't take that into consideration knowing full well this is a Hallmark movie after all. It wasn't overly cheesy (which I can't stand) and I liked both leads so what can I say. If you haven't seen "A Bride for Christmas" give it a go!
