Blues Brothers 2000 (1998)
Why does everyone whine that Belushi is gone
And therefore the movie is bad? He died a long time ago, is isn't Dan Akroyd's fault for making a new, and better talented movie. It is a perfect sequel to the first, and the cast was loaded with more superstar talent than any movie I have ever seen. The plot is similar in beat to the first and has a completely different storyline. There is a 10 yr old kid in the movie who really has his moves down too. maybe the naysayers have no idea who these guys are, they are legends, Wilson Pickett, Lou Rawls, B.B. King, Dr John, even Travis Tritt, and 20 other stars, all in the same band no less! I guess because people are miserable about the whole thing that they think the movie was bad, you just can't please some people. Get over it, this is one great movie!
George Carlin: Life Is Worth Losing (2005)
Terrible, George has really lost it.
I saw Ralphie May at a show in Houston and he said the same thing. I didn't believe him and forked out the $120 bux for 2 tix and went to see him. I took my wife. I have always lived and breathed Carlin and have been known to spit out a Carlin line or 2 from years past, often...I was soooo incredibly disappointed. Last night I watched this HBO special since his road material is usually different when he does the big show. It was a carbon copy of the horrible act I saw here. I hope he can make a turnaround, but sadly, I do not think its going to happen. I guess he's going to just talk about the all suicide channel for another 5 years. What ever happened to the first stage (hippy) and second (sports and disasters) phases of his career? We'll miss ya George...
America's Sweethearts (2001)
A total waste of time!
As a fan of Julia Roberts, John Cusak, and Catherine Zeta Jones, I found this movie a total bore! Did this movie ever make it to theaters? It looks like something that would go straight to video. No wonder I had never heard of it before. A joke!
