Devious Maids (2013)
Desperate housewives with a fail twist
It tries to be Desperate Housewives with a twist, but it just never gets anywhere close to interesting. The stereotypical characters, the flimsy story, and I'm sorry to say, in may cases poor acting.
The dumb rich people are pretty much ruled by the smart Latina maids. Oh please! It's all very unbelievable and actually pretty painful to watch sometimes.
I have my opinion about the rave reviews for this show. I suppose it's possible that that is actually their honest opinion.
Too bad it took 4 seasons before whoever was financing this series figured out that there never should have been a second season, or a first one for that matter.
Inheritance (2020)
Goes from highly unlikely to totally unbelievable
The 'plot' is the big problem with this one. It starts out somewhat interesting, but the "twist" near the end is more unlikely than anything I'd ever seen before, and I've seen some seriously dumb movies.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)
The most fun to watch of the series so far!
Even though the ending is quite predictable, it is a really fun watch, if you liked any of the predecessors at all. I absolutely don't regret seeing it. Oh, and don't watch the trailers if it's not too late for that yet, they spoil quite a bit of the fun.
Dune (2021)
A bit too long
The movie is a bit slow and it feels like it ends about half an hour too late. This is probably just setting the stage for part 2, not wanting to start with a pretty forgettable half an hour. The visuals are great, impressive even on the big screen. Well worth seeing. I'd go with a 7.5 if I could. Here's an 8 in the hope that the next part is at least as good as this one.
Westworld (2016)
First season is good to very good, iffy on season 2
Interesting idea, some lazy writing to keep the plot going forward somewhat too smoothly IMO, but ok, overall a high quality show worth seeing. The second season is not really worth watching though. I'd simply stop watching after S1 and leave it at that.
Why Women Kill (2019)
A bit of a slow start but it gets better and ends great
The first few episodes left me curious, not much was really happening, but It guess that's just what it was, setting the stage for things to come. Things got both interesting and funny after that, and it just gets better and better. Recommended!

Raised by Wolves (2020)
Good start, boring middle and strange ending
The first few episodes are quite interesting, even if the plot is somewhat unlikely at times. High production value at the start, absolutely movie-worthy. But then it starts to drop off until it becomes almost painful to watch. The acting isn't that great that it can save the poor storyline and the strange ending does nothing to remedy this.
The Boys (2019)
Best superhero series I've ever seen
From the Pilot it quickly becomes clear that this is not your run-of-the-mill superhero trash. It's a pretty unique take on the genre with great acting, some unexpected plot-twists and an ending you're not likely to forget anytime soon. Rated R for a reason and I loved it.
Tenet (2020)
Great acting and spectacular FX but hard to really follow
I'm a pretty big fan of Nolan's work, but after seeing this for the first time I'm a bit disappointed. The dual timeline thing is hard to really follow in a single viewing. I imagine that if you watch it more than once you could probably even follow the backward dialogue and it would all fall into place but a bit more, but I just don't feel like watching it again. Reversed entropy just doesn't fly at all. Interstellar makes sense (for the most part at least), Tenet doesn't make any sort of sense at all.
People who read subtitles are going to miss out, no matter how many times they watch it.
I think this is one of Nolan's worst movies. It's new, but not really a in a good way.
Lucifer (2016)
I like the first two season, iffy on 3, nice to hear good things about 4 and 5.
After really liking seasons 1 and 2 (which I'd give and 8/10), and watching season 3 now, I'm hesistant to even continue watching. It's getting stale, same ole same ole. Seeing the nice things about seasons 4 and 5 here has given me the motivation to push through it, to get to the good stuff. I hope I won't end up regretting that.
Chimera Strain (2018)
Highly not recommended
Fake reviews to make this movie look at least somewhat decent. One of the few movies I tried to watch all the way through and failed. Boring low-budget flick not worth even 5 minutes of your time. The actor isn't bad but the plot Easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor and avoid this crap, it's really not worth any of your time.
Empty Metal (2018)
Serious waste of time
After a couple of minutes you'll know this won't be a good movie. After 5 minutes you'll know that nothing good will come from watching 80+ minutes of this nonsense. Soon enough you'll wonder if anyone who wasn't paid to watch this has actually seen this all the way through.
I've seen laughably bad movies before, like Battlefield Earth, but this is like ten times worse. This is painfully bad. A 1/10 is actually too high.
Black Water (2018)
Okay start, laughable plot, ridiculous ending
It starts out quite promisingly, some okay action with JCVD, but it becomes more and more ridiculous as it drags itself on towards the pretty preposterous ending. Sad really, but this flick isn't the entertaining experience it's supposed tot be.
Deception (2018)
Starts promising but becomes stalen rather quickly
Intersting idea, even if it's close to The Mentalist in concept. About halfway through the magic starts to wear off though. Towards the end the whole thing becomes less and less believable up to the point that you just don't care anymore. I'm not sorry I saw Deception, but The Mentalist is the better show.

Absentia (2017)
Good show, looking forward tot season 2.
The overall plot is a bit bleak but the acting is good and it just keeps you watching.
Manifest (2018)
Interesting start but the poor acting is really killing it
It's reasonably good for a few episodes, but it takes a dive and just keeps on diving well past the point of no return. The plot and some of the acting gets so bad it's genuinely painful to watch. I then went on to watch episode 9, and even 10, just to make sure brainactivity was dead. Yep, it's gone. The concept was interesting enough, but the execution failed in a big way..
Chernobyl (2019)
Excellent series
The "dog" part of the series is less strong and what keeps this from being a perfect ten. Still excellent, well worth watching.and highly recommended.
The Dip Run (2018)
Crappy low budget movie
You'll have a hard time watching this for longer than 10 minutes. The acting is really awful. If you've seen the poster you've seen all there is to see.
