Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
Amazing
For the full effect you have to watch this on a full-size theatre screen. It was visually stunning. Great storyline, acting and the soundtrack was superb. Big thumbs up to Marvel for this one.
Mosul (2019)
Well Done
The stories the people tell are detailed and paint a terrible picture of the Hell they are forced to live in and the hate towards ISIS and hope they feel when the military comes through. However, Ali Maula takes an interesting angle in questioning whether or not many of the civilians re telling the truth. It is a sad thing to think but does show how much distrust and discord ISIS has sown into the country. The use of actual footage of the cruelty and violence make for a shocking and utterly disturbing watch. Gabriel doesn't pull any punches and though that does make the film hard to watch, it is not for the faint of heart, he does manage to make his point more poignant and memorable. The runtime is short clocking in well under ninety minutes - however this works in the film's favor. Not only does it still manage to perfectly fit in every story and bit of information, but the quick pace gives the film a sense of urgency and energy which makes the viewing direr and memorable.
Anthropoid (2016)
Superb
Anthropoid is a seriously complex and stunning drama. The performances by Murphy and Dornan are surprisingly deep and emotional, this one is a must watch.
Captain Fantastic (2016)
A must watch
Seriously well done. Good story that is told well. Great performances by the entire family. A utopian dream full of real life lessons.
Behind Closed Doors (2019)
A nice short film
So much tension, I loved it. To the director Jake, well done on picking the right actors. Trent was a stand out also, he gave one hell of a performance. Just like everybody else I was wishing for way more, it was a little to short for me but that's a good thing.
Chernobyl (2019)
HBO does it again
This is one of the most important TV shows ever made. The actual disaster even though many know what happened is recreated so perfectly that it is still super shocking to watch.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019)
Loved It
I really liked the story line of this movie. I hope they continue Max's story and get into the other characters stories as well. My kids loved the first one and love this one too!
Drive (2011)
Intense!
This movie is a piece of art. The storytelling is spot on and prides itself on showing you what's going on instead of telling you what's going on, an art-form in of itself. The soundtrack can make any though guy cry and mosh at the same time. It's that good. Camera Angles, The Visuals Aesthetics, The Shot Composition, Script, Pacing, everything is perfect. If you haven't watched this yet go watch it.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
Excellent
Fantastic action throughout the movie, in line with 1 and 2, excellent sound effects, great martial arts. If you liked 1 and 2, you will love this installment.
Ma (2019)
Pretty Good
Octavia Spencer is so talented. She nailed it. A very suspenseful drama.. I went into this not expecting much but it was really entertaining. Worth a watch go check it out.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019)
Fell Flat
This is all Fox's fault. What happened? They did so good for the past few years and now they did this. Instead of ending it strong it just turned out into a big mess. So sad to see the franchise end like this.
Booksmart (2019)
What?
This was such a boring comedy. Pretty sure everybody came to watch this film thinking it was going to be a female version of Super Bad but no.. 5 stars and that's being generous.
Aladdin (2019)
Magical
Will Smith did his thing as usual, we loved it! Brings back great memories and the music and script was pretty solid. In all a beautiful movie. Well Done
Rocketman (2019)
So good
Loved the way they did this film.. a really good biopic, totally different to what I thought it was going to be. 9 stars from me.
The Real Original Only Authentic Messiah Has Arrived (2019)
The Real Messiah!
Wow! I must say, I really don't know what to say except that this was a real eye-opener, to say the least! I viewed his complete video and then went to his official website to have a look around. I found myself there over an hour reading and watching much of what he had available for me to see and read. I then actually found myself buying his book for sale because Kenneth really enticed me to want to know more about this entire "situation". Kenneth is either the "real-deal" as he claims, or he certainly is one heck of a "master-mind genius" to have created such a "story" that to me is far beyond inconceivable and unexplainable, in my humble opinion. One thing is for sure, Kenneth is definitely "someone". The question that surely will now be debated is what exactly is that "someone" and what will that ultimately now mean for "everyone". Kenneth sure did a fantastic job in creating one heck of a controversy with his great short video film, website, and book. That fact is for sure, and he did it in such a "mesmerizing way" that was quite entertaining too! That's what I have to say about my review of his short video film.
