Tristan + Isolde (2006)

a wonderful love story but i must question the choice of actor.

When i saw this movie i was pleasantly surprised by the story. I was, however, not so pleased by the choice of actor James Franco in the title role.

Franco didn't fill the role as one would expect. he made the love between himself and Isolde(Sophia miles) unbelievable and occasionally gave the impression that he was unaware of his surroundings(out of it).

I was impressed, however, with the performance of Sophia miles. She fit the part perfectly and acted out the obsessive love between them perfectly.

In the end when he lay dying the scene was touching but over acted t he point where it lost the audience because it was so over the top that it could not hold the viewers attention.

Overall it is movie worth seeing once. While not a masterpiece it will touch the hearts of many.

All the Little Animals (1998)

a great movie, a stunning surprise

i loved this movie. Christian bale played his part as well as could be done.

This is the story of a boy who's mind is steadied with a love for living things and a mysterious man who lives out in the woods by himself who's work was saving the animals.

he joins the man in his constant battle against the carelessness of humans and how they don't care who or what they hurt so long as it does not directly affect them. when his stepfather finds out about his life in the woods away from man kind he kills the man and attempts to kill his stepson. when the stepfather himself is killed bobby (bale) is free and he continues the rest of his life doing the 'work' saving the animals.

this movie touched me in the heart because it is something that opens your eyes to the world around you. i think this is especially a good movie for those about to be able to drive so they can be taught the perils the road brings to other creatures

Million Dollar Baby (2004)

great. a movie that you must see.

This movie is wonderful and a definite must see.

I was blown away by the acting and the story. When she died i was devastated. I have not read the book but you don't need to. Hilary Swank was superb and made the movie. Clint Eastwood also did a fantastic job. I saw this movie with the before knowledge she was going to die but that did not take away any of the movie's strength. The fight scenes were very well done as were the training sequences. I saw this movie on video but I could not imagine how wonderful it would be to see it in the movie theaters.

a must see for anyone who enjoys boxing movies or someone who simply enjoys an extremely well done movie.

The Da Vinci Code (2006)

a wonderful movie. I was not disappointed.

This is a wonderful movie. Tom Hanks was not the perfect choice for the star but it was a mistake i can live with. I was reduced to tears when Salis was shot. I enjoyed the diversity in this movie. one moment it would be calm and peaceful and the next moment all action.

It is one of those movies you can't properly describe but it makes you jump in your seat. many people hated this movie. I am afraid to say it is an emotion i cant understand as I loved it. If you loved the book don't listen to what anyone says go see it and make up your own mind.

P.S. this movie is best seen in theaters and also don't be turned off by the choice of Tom Hanks. while he was not ideal for the part it was not a major flaw in the presentation of the movie. and anyway it is nice to see a celebrity who looks aged and natural.

The Legend of Zorro (2005)

a wonderful film. Antonio Banderas stellar as always.

When I saw this movie I was full of mixed anticipation. I had heard that the story was horrible but I had also heard it was very good. well I loved it. Antonio Banderas sexy as ever didn't let me down. I loved the mask of Zorro and this one too. While the story followed the lines of the old one it had all new twists and turns that made it interesting and it didn't let me down.

Zorro is married and has a son so he has to balance out his family and his action lives. I do think his wife was so hard on him. I am afraid to say that all through the movie I was thinking he is so much better than you you don't deserve him. Antonio Banderas, what can I say he is so handsome. An awesome movie you must see LEGEND OF ZORRO !!!!!!!!!!!

The Mask of Zorro (1998)

a wonderful movie. a must see

I loved this movie. And I love Antonio Banderas. I thought it is the perfect movie: there is action, romance, and Antonio Banderas gives this terrific movie a sexy edge.

W ell where do I start. I must admit if it hadn't been Antonio Banderas as the new Zorro I doubt I would have liked it. It amazed me and I have probably seen this movie over ten times. Anthony Hopkins was good but his role wasn't the optimum choice of roles.

If you are an Antonio Banderas fan you will love it. If you aren't well I think you will fall in love with him. I probably sound like I'm obsessed with Antonio Banderas and I am but he plays the role perfectly and he is not just wonderfully handsome but an amazing actor.

National Treasure (2004)

a terrible movie i cant believe anyone would want to see it again

When i saw this movie i was expecting it to be kind of good but i was badly disappointed. It is your typical treasure finding movie except it was horrible. it seemed to be a davinci code wanna be except it was badly done. I want to tell everyone that if you are debating whether or not to see this movie don't unless you want to waste your time on a terrible film. at the end i was so disappointed that everything had gone almost as planned and that it all turned out happy. this is just one of those movies which wikll make you wish the main character would just drop dead.

don't see it. you will be disappointed.

Rent (2005)

a terrible film... i could not wait to get out of the theater.

This film was a complete waste of my money. i was so happy to get out of there. i went to see it with a group of people and everyone around me was crying. all i could think was please be over, please be over.... i was terribly disappointed and while i am not a huge fan of La Boheme it disgraced the opera to simply be slightly connected to it.

in the scene where Mimi is dying i was so happy as her character was overdone and became bland and boring. so when i saw her fingers move i let out an audible groan. THIS IS NOT HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE but i suppose it is one of those movies you either hate or go obsessive over. i almost lost it when she explained that Angel had said ' go back and hear that boy sing' that was so stupid. i couldn't tell you how frustrating the movie became after that. the characters were so annoying that the only way to fix it would be to have all of them die. honestly, and i know some people who would back me up on this, it was horrible. sorry all you Rent fans who have gone obsessiveover this movie. it stank and it was one of the worst movies ever.

Evita (1996)

the amazing story of Eva Peron

I went into this movie thinking it would be alright. actually i only saw it because i love Antonio Banderas but it turned out to be one of my favorite movies. I have never liked Madonna but I was pleasantly surprised by her performance as her acting was good and her voice with these songs was wonderful. Madonna-surprisingly good. Antonio Banderas-Outstanging as always. Antonio Banderas has a wonderful voice and after seeing this movie i went and bought the soundtrack. the waltz for Eva and Che always brings tears to my eyes. i rarely cry in movies and only have around twice(this makes three) but this is an exceptionally sad movie and is a must see for everyone.

Scary Movie 3 (2003)

a hilarious spoof on the most popular scary movies.

It is one of the best movies I've seen this year! it was heavy comedy every second of it. i hadn't seen most of the movies it was based on but i had a great time anyway. i loved it. i do admit some parts were over done to the point of just dumb but it was overall great. this movie made me and some of my friends laugh harder than ever we had done before. it was great. it is the perfect film to watch with your friends. do if you have trouble choosing movies scary movie 3 is a winner. this movie is a must see for people who enjoy scary movies and love a laugh.

scary movie 3 is an excellent film for almost everyone.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

I personally HATED this movie. This may simply be because i read the books. The movie doesn't follow the books in the slightest. It leaves out ll the truly important stuff to leave in and obsess over the obvious points. they almost completely left out Sirius Black and the trust bond developed between harry and him. Dumbledore went senile. gone was the calm understanding man who had been harry's mentor. he couldn't help harry he was too busy yelling at, shoving and strangling harry. they also left out parts that would be important in the next movie like him giving the gold to Fred and George. that will raise the question 'where did they get the gold from to start their joke shop?'

If you love Harry Potter don't see this movie you will be devastated.

Take the Lead (2006)

this is a movie about a teacher who must show the kids their potential before they throw it away

When I saw this movie it was so good that the next week I went and saw it again. The dancing was phenomenal and the acting made this movie awesome. Antonio Banderas was amazing and he made the whole story believable. He has only risen in my opinion since i saw this movie. An amazing movie no one could have played Pierre Dulaine as well, not even Pierre Dulaine. But while Antonio Banderas was the best with out the Kids there would be no story. They took the parts and danced them into top gear. It is an amazing movie, a must see if you love dancing and a must see even if you don't like dancing. This movie is a must see........again
