UFOs: The Lost Evidence: Nazi UFO Secrets (2019)
Season 2, Episode 6

Rewriting History
23 July 2023
I'm no historian but I really enjoy WW2 history. This episode is chalk full of inaccuracies and the actual stories behind the technologies covered in this episode are far more fascinating than the "Must be alien technology" explanation provided by the has-been "ancient aliens" cast that hasn't opened a history book in the last 20 years.

This is a sad and grossly inaccurate made up account of history. It's basically just nonstop blatantly false statements - like how the V2 rocket almost won the war for the Germans - lmao WHAT? V2 rockets came into the war at a point when it was basically already lost for Germany, and were being worked on in 1936. Rockets were not alien technology.

A ton of technologies and weapons were made during WW2 and this episode basically just says it was all alien tech without pointing to a single shred of evidence, all while avoiding ANY real history.

Who writes this utter garbage and why can't they afford to hire a single person who has read a book or even a Wikipedia page?

Black Mirror: Joan Is Awful (2023)
Season 6, Episode 1

Netflix at it again with garbage writing
27 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Overall terribly unexciting with the added bonus that you have to be technologically and scientifically inept to make it past the glaring plot holes.

This show has fallen so far from it's first few seasons- where the plots actually made sense instead of being explained with a supposedly lawyer using the words "some super advanced quantum computer deepfake mumbo jumbo"

I swear ChatGPT could write better than most of these Netflix Black Mirror writers whos only strength is how incredibly unimpressive, generic, and full of plot holes their scripts are. The plot of this episode is literally: "You accepted the Terms and Conditions when you first signed up for Streamberry so they're in the clear to use quantum computers and ad tracking mumbo jumbo to make a tv show of your actual life"
  • South parks "human centipede" was more thought out than this and basically the same plot only more entertaining.

That and I personally don't care what happens to a shady young woman who cares way too much what others think of her and is playing the role of a victim before anything bad even happens to her.

House of the Dragon (2022– )
2/10
Seems like an HBO Series with Netflix Standards
22 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The first episode leaves the impression of an incredibly low budget game of thrones that is poorly cast with a script that has no soul. The CGI feels very cheap and dragons don't come close to giving that impressive feeling that Game of Thrones really did do so well.

As other reviews have pointed out, the hair looks pretty stupid on some characters, not a huge deal but it compounds with the fact that a lot of the costumes for one reason or another look wildly unrealistic. For example Daemon Targaryen's helmet and armor REALLY looks like spray-painted plastic that weighs absolutely nothing. The already pretty dull fighting scenes feel even poorer when some guy is jousting in plastic armor.

The only action-packed section of the episode is interrupted every 10 seconds (not an exaggeration) by shots of a gruesome childbirth. Why they felt the need to mash the two sequences together; I have no idea, but frankly it left me wondering what kind of person actually wants to watch this series. So far it just feels like it's building up to be lackluster drama series about a teenage girl with dragons - which is fine if that's your thing.

I could probably overlook all this if it wasn't for the undeniable fact that not a single character in the episode is even remotely likable. The main character is a young girl who has the same look on her face the entire episode except when she's crying. I'm not sure if her character was intended to have other emotions, or if we are even supposed to like her.

Hellariously Bad.

Not sure what you have to smoke to make it through the entirety of this but it's safe to say it was hands down the worst thing I watched all year. Unbearably bad.

Free Guy (2021)

I wanted to leave halfway thru the movie, and it only got worse.

By trying to write a plot they absolutely screwed this film - it would have been infinitely better if it just followed Ryan Reynolds as he became a self conscious NPC - if that's at all what you're expecting you will be very disappointed. It really feels like they have completely forced the entire plot (which is utter nonsensical garbage) and Jodie Comers character, Millie , into the film.

Not a single second of the movie does it's promising premise any justice. I have absolutely no idea how this movie is not rated MUCH lower. The plot makes ABSOLUTELY no actual sense and is several steps past what Hollywood generally expects you to completely overlook in terms of plot holes and logic. Whoever wrote it must never have touched a computer in their life, and you can see the films only plot twist coming from the start of the movie. The forced garbage plot does nothing to make the movie actually funny - really nothing aside from Ryan Reynolds sheer presence and a few choice moments with his buddy even appear to actually attempt to make the audience laugh.

Makes humans look so stupid that I was rooting for the Aliens.
3 July 2021
Lets be very clear - this film has a lot of good elements, but is completely ruined by the writing. This movie has long stints where every single line that comes out of the main characters mouths can only be explained by absolute stupidity - so much so that it would have served both the film and the audience better to leave all dialog out of the film and focus on the action.

Cruella (2021)

I had to ask myself "WHY AM I WATCHING THIS GARBAGE" several times to leave this review.
25 June 2021
I feel bad for anyone who praises this pile of garbage. The acting is sub-par throughout, the script and plot are utterly idiotic. Even in Emma's most "Cruella" scenes it seems she has a hard time believing her character as well. It's like she was trying to make an Oscar-worthy performance and faceplanted at the starting line. The entire movie is basically a collection of stupid scenes tied together by a plot that you'd have to be mentally ill to care about.

I thought this was supposed to be funny...
24 August 2020
Falls short of "almost funny", with some pretty poor voice acting and a script that seems like it was written by someone more confused than I am by this show.
