Halo: Halo (2024)
Halo is finally here.
I was most worried about the final. But, to my great surprise, it is very eventful and does not seem like they are wasting time.
Excellent action scenes, watching what was happening on Onyx was sometimes even more interesting than what was happening in space.
There were some flaws and script oddities here and there, but the latter were a minimum. And this ending looks and feels stronger than the ending of the first season. But if after this the series is not renewed for a third season, then there would be damn little point in all of this.
Master Chief destroys! And it was cool. The only thing that infuriated me was Kwang Ha's plot armor. It was bad.
Halo: Thermopylae (2024)
The stakes are high
It's hard to judge how good this episode will be in the end. It all depends on the ending. But if you take it in isolation from everything else, then there are practically no downsides.
Surprisingly, even the Kwan Ha storyline finally made some sense. And she had good chemistry with Halsey and Miranda. Miranda finally remembered her father's death, which is good. But we are still given hope that he may be alive.
Akerson showed himself to be a real man and not a villain at all, which is cool. It's good to see that Master Chief is finally back in his armor. We are waiting for the final showdown in the final episode!
And we need a third season.
Halo: Onyx (2024)
It was very good
While crybabes continue to cry and think that the show must break its own logic to please their fanservice, normal viewers continue to watch the Halo TV show and enjoy every episode.
The sixth episode gave the audience a lot; Master Chief was finally reunited with Cortana, albeit temporarily. Very cool scenes at the Covenant, it will be interesting to see what the Arbiter's mission will lead to.
Kai's logic seemed not entirely clear to me, why she beat the Chief despite the fact that in the end she believed him. But it was a good scene actually. I'm happy. I'm looking forward to the final two episodes.
Halo: Aleria (2024)
Spartans Never Die
They disappear on the battlefield. That's what Chief thinked. That's what many of us thinked. But this episode - it's an honor for everyone that have left us on war.
I don't think that plot of finding Kessler is so neccesery, but i think this is the first time when Kwan.character wasn't annoying. They tried to build up a lot of the future plot, including where Kai went.
And questions about what happened to Admiral Keyes still remain open. But we do have some very good interactions between John-117 and Halsey, which makes this episode definitely worth appreciating.
A good opening battle scene, but it's as if the fall of the Reach was not pressed a little. I still have questions about the script, but this is the best Halo adaptation we can get here and now. That's why I love it and will protect it.
Halo: Reach (2024)
The best of the best
The show has never been this GOOD. Everything about it is beautiful. Both drama and action. Very intense and good action. Great speech from Admiral Keyes, John-117 is great. The entire Silver Team is wonderful. I still have no words, only emotions. Simply great.
Yes, the whiners will cry because John-117 runs around without armor, but I'm already tired of these fans. Like most of those who watch and enjoy this series. If you can't deal with certain elements that much, just don't watch. Because this is a great episode. An absolutely great episode. I'm so impressed. I've always wanted to see a film adaptation of the fall of the Reach. And I'm sorry we didn't have Noble Team, but it's a different perspective. And he's good. Damn good.
Halo: Visegrad (2024)
Calm before the storm
This was a solid episode that suffers greatly from not fully focusing on what's happening on the Reach. I understand that TV shows need to have multiple subplots, but explain to the writers that they are bad at subplots. Rubble's plot is still better than what we had in the first season with Madrigal. But it's much worse than what's happening at the Reach.
Give us more John-117, give us more Ackerson, whose storyline was the best part of the episode. Give me more of the admiral and his mental anguish. Yes, even Danilo could have been revealed more during this running time, so that we could get into his relationships. And very little Vannak, unfortunately. But let's look further. Episode four should be a mighty one.
Halo: Sword (2024)
Very good.
After an intense first episode, the second episode dives deeper into showing the world people live in. This was missing in the first season, which is why the events seemed cardboard at some points, and because of the death of the characters, I didn't want to worry about it again.
I hope there will be even less of Kwang Ha in the future, but I can say that she is much less annoying this time. Pablo Schreiber is as good as he was in the first episode. His John-117 is revealed from different sides. And it's great that Lt. Perez exists now, they have great chemistry. It will be interesting to see where this leads. I hope episode 4 is truly amazing. Because it is clear that the third will be preparation before the real storm.
Halo: Sanctuary (2024)
Big Improvement
I liked the first season. But he wasn't perfect. Especially in terms of the script and visual effects. But the second season, especially the first episode, showed that the series could be much better. Dark tone, better character development. Very cool. I am delighted.
Pablo is amazing as Master Chief. It will be interesting to see how his dynamic with Ackerson changes. The rest of the Silver Team has finally begun to be revealed.
Akerson is very good, Joseph Morgan is amazing. An excellent antagonist. I'm looking forward to the third episode! The main thing is that they do not slow down and spend less time on uninteresting secondary lines.
Ted Lasso: Mom City (2023)
Greatest episode of all seasons of Ted Lasso
It was brilliant. I have cried 3 times in a row. Jaime Tart's storyline really brought me to tears. He has always been the main gold of this series. So does Roy Kent. It's good that Roy loves Killy again. You can forget about her storyline in previous episodes.
But this show has always been about Ted Lasso. About his character. About his willpower and the power of positive thinking. And show comes to an end. Show deconstructs his main character. But Ted Lasso keeps smiling. And we have to. Even in the darkest times.
Even when this wonderful series comes to an end. But we have one more week together. And I hope that the final will be unforgettable.
Halo: Transcendence (2022)
It was powerful finale
All storylines merged into one. And although there were a couple of moments where the plot moves seemed a little illogical, basically - this is a gorgeous ending.
Full of drama, great Pablo Schreiber and more. Pleased that we got a lot of Silver tea interactions. This was spectacular. Can't wait to continue!
Halo: Allegiance (2022)
The intrigue gets even stronger!
Master Chief stretched his ass with Maki, let's be happy for him! Of course, this is not the same John-117 from the games. But this is not the same Dr. Halsey. And a lot of other things. But I'm already used to it, and if we consider the series as something similar, but not copying, then this is very worthy of watching!
Great fight between the Spartans, good drama by Maki.
The final must be unrealistically cool, otherwise all these excellent series (except the seventh) that led us to it will crumble and get a maximum of seven out of ten from me.
Halo: Inheritance (2022)
It is not like game Halo, but it is not really bad
Episode turned out a little better than the fourth, which at one time seemed to me very sensitive. He still seems redundant, but he made some discussions.
The first fifteen minutes had a genuine feeling, I was watching a different series, especially after episodes 5 and 6, which looked head and shoulders above. Here and lazy backdrops, and in some places bad graphics - oddities, in general. It's like this is one of those episodes that are filmed in batches at the very beginning of the covid-related year-long hiatus.
Madrigal's problem was never hidden in Kwang Ha or the image itself, all the bumps fell on the story itself and the need for a hero in "Halo" as such. The Madrigal line is lazily written, it developed terribly stupid and was completely unnecessary, but here in the seventh episode you can finally look at what is happening without a huge concentration of krinzh, for which thanks to Jessica Lowry.
Episode is not worth skipping for sure, at least for the sake of Soren, who scatters a whole detachment, as a maximum - for the sake of five minutes of the Chief and in order to close the Madrigal rebellion line for himself. Perhaps those who read books and rummage for the rebels will be less hateful about the episode, but the game canonists will spit - that's for sure.
Halo: Solace (2022)
Better and better
I'm not gonna lie, I love this show. I really didn't like only episode 4, but 5 and 6 was excellent. Pablo did great as Master Chief. Many cry babies will call him Master Cheeks, but I truly think that they don't understand character development in this series. It is another John-177, but he is true HOPE.
Excellent finale scene. Love it.
Halo: Reckoning (2022)
Masterpiece
This episode was everything I want. Good action, nice CGI, no talking, MASTER CHIEF IS A DEMON. Thank you, Lieberman, that's was a beat episode for now.
Kai'a storyline is good. And at least no Kwan Ha in episode.
Halo: Unbound (2022)
Human being
There are no action scenes in this episode at all, but for a general understanding of how the world works within the series and who John was all this time, the series works perfectly. The plot gives a powerful impetus to the development of events and I am almost sure that fans of the canon will be angry this time too.
Master Chief walks almost the entire episode without a helmet, reflects on the world that turned upside down in his head after touching the artifact, and Pablo Schreiber perfectly conveys all the emotions of his hero.
Flights in space and everything related to the visual this time were at the highest level, it was a pleasure to watch and admire the picture. I would like to believe that the third episode more than compensates for the lack of combat tension. It is a pleasant stop on the outskirts of free space, where John-117 was given time to be an ordinary person, which he does not know how to be at all.
Halo (2022)
Stop review bombing
While imdb is giving toxic fans the ability for new accounts to bomb the ratings of a show they haven't even watched yet, I'd like to say that I really was one of those bloggers who managed to watch the show.
And he's good. Not perfect, but interesting and honors his universe well. The master chief is good, the background is interesting, but they lack a spark. I'm waiting for the third series to come out.
