The Menu (2022)
I wanted to love it
The Menu (2022): 6/10
As much as I wanted to love it. Something was missing for me. I couldn't tell if it was supposed to be serious or more comedic at some points. I also had more questions than answers by the end of it and thats usually a problem for me. Nicholas Hoult character didn't make sense to me. His love for the Chef was never explained. Like why was he willing to pay thousands of dollars to go to this restaurant? Let alone pay for an escort or some kind because the restaurant forbade tables for one? I liked Margot because I love when characters go against the grain but otherwise I expected better.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
That is how you do a sequel
It's been almost a month and I'm still not over this film. The visuals alone makes this movie enjoyable. I saw it in Imax 3D and need to see it again before it leaves theaters. The way they handle Chadwick not being in it was done in a good way. They didn't film any scenes yet with him so it made sense not to have any CGI or him in this film. If there is one complaint I have is the accuracy with the mythology. Namor is not the feather serpent God in the comics but Tenoch Huerta does a fantastic job in this film so I can't be too mad about that. And can we talk about Angela Bassett? That acting!
Spirited (2022)
One of the worst Christmas movies I've seen.
I was very disappointed with this movie. It looked good in the commercials but then when I watched it there were many problems with it. First off its another Scrooge story which is tired at this point. The music is awful and none of the actors can sing well at all. Also the biggest one for me was its runtime. Watching 2 hours and 7 minutes felt like torture. There was a scene that I thought was leading to the ending and I click the remote and I see it has forty minutes left? Absolutely no thank you. Overall I wish I could just forget I ever watched this movie because that's how bad I found it.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Reunion Part 1 (2021)
Not a bad start but could be better
Most of this episode was everyone bashing Erika and Garcelle which i didnt like at all. Rinna and Dorit were really disappointing and Kyle was surprisingly mute the whole time. I hope the next 3 episodes are much better and not as painful to watch.
9-1-1: Rage (2019)
Great episode
This episode brought awareness to the Black Lives Matter Movement and its such a great episode to watch especially if you yourself are black or if you need to educate your children on this police brutality matter. I think this episode was extremely necessary and watching it for the first time in 2022 it was interesting to see it aired months before George Floyd it goes it show you this has alway ls been a problem.
Sex Education: Episode 8 (2021)
Okay ending to a great season.
This ending was really rushed imo. I think they set up the season quite well but the writers probably panicked and didn't know what to do so they gave us an okay ending. I do feel like we are back to where we started with this ending. Eric is single again. Otis and Maeve is going nowhere and now she's going off to America? It also doesn't help that there's rumors Emma who plays Maeve is done with this show and if that's true I'll be proper mad because why give us that ending if she might not be coming back? Why even have Otis and Maeve start having a relationship if she might be done? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
I also think we don't get closure for a lot of characters this season. Like Michael and Ruby. They spent a lot of time developing their characters this season just for them to drop their storyline? Both of them are finally likeable characters and they just tossed them aside out of nowhere? I hope they give us more episodes soon i need a lot of questions answers.
Sex Education: Episode 7 (2021)
Woah a lot happened in this episode but i loved it
Great episode! I loved seeing them all come together and rebel against the head teacher. Especially Ruby coming out of nowhere and assaulting Hope lmao. Also i love to see Jonathan's character developing and im actually starting to like him a bit! I can't believe he slept with his ex wife too and told off his brother! Other than that a few things annoyed me this episode like Eric telling Adam he cheated... like just keep that to yourself 😖. Also Maeve and Otis aren't good together and their storyline has been going on for 3 seasons just put it to rest are they gonna get together or not? Last thing what is going on with Cal and Jackson? I can't wait for the season finale just wish they had more episodes.
Sex Education: Episode 3 (2021)
That ending though!
I love ruby so much this season but honestly she deserves better than Otis? I mean i do find it odd that she would say that she loves him this quickly especially since she barely even liked him not too long ago. Anyways im giving it a 9 only because of the cat scene that was COMPLETELY unnecessary and traumatizing for people like me with pets!
