Tell me the writers room is full of men without telling me...
11 April 2024
Maggie suddenly decides she might want to have a kid so she immediately says she's considering IVF? Hey ding dongs in the writers room, IVF is for women that have serious difficulty conceiving not for women who just want to get pregnant without a man involved. All she needs is a vile from the sperm bank, a $100 artificial insemination doctor's appointment and about 15 minutes not 20,000 worth of specialty fertility procedures. Sadly, this isn't even the dumbest part of an episode that has all the actors running around chasing a guy in a gas mask spraying deadly poisonous gas without masks of their own. I would really love to meet some of the writers working on 'Hollywood' shows these days, I'm convinced they all walk around with velcro shoes because shoelaces are just too difficult for them to figure out. Too bad Hollywood can't go on strike for smarter writers...hey maybe AI could help.

Disappointing...
1 September 2023
The first Meg is a guilty favorite of mine so I certainly understood what to expect and was not looking for high art, but this sequel was just not good. Everything felt really rushed, the underlying story was barely there and the "bad guys" were just terrible caricatures. Overall the acting was bad, it was clear the actors were all pretty much phoning it in (even Statham, whom I love). Some, however, stood out as particularly terrible - the wealthy benefactor (Driscoll) has to be the girlfriend of one of the producers because wow, she cannot act to save her life, same with Jess - just awful. Most of them sounded like they were just reading the script without any effort at all to act. Part of the fun of the first Meg are the comedic moments, unfortunately whoever wrote the script was trying to recreate that and just went completely overboard with jokes so dumb and predictable they pretty much all fall flat.

I was really hoping to like Meg 2 as much as I enjoyed Meg but there just was very little to like about it.

I was just embarrassed for every one of them...
4 August 2023
Awful, just awful. I even went in with an open mind but it was just bad. I went back & forth between being annoyed at the dumb lyrics and silly teenage crushes and being just flat out embarrassed for the actors. The songs were dumb, the episode had absolutely no point other than to justify the musical. I made it through most of the episodes by just ignoring the musical numbers and doing something else but then we got to the Klingon number. Seeing people dressed as Klingons break out into a ridiculously stupid song and even more ridiculous dance segment was just a step too far. The writers should be ashamed of themselves for this barf. Why do they insist on putting these people who hate sci-fi on the writing staff of sci-fi shows?

Only made it 10 min in...
15 July 2023
Who in the world does this appeal to? In the first 10 minutes the soon to be husband is just consistently crapped on by his employees, the parents keep referring to his bride as a stripper (she teaches yoga) and at dinner they discuss, no act out, the elderly uncle dying via asphyxiation while masturbating. Is this garbage actually funny to anyone? It was honestly unwatchable. Sad, because I like the cast. I have no problem with low level humor, it can be a fun escape but this wasn't funny at all, it was just sad. I know this was produced by Adam Sandlers company, I can't imagine he had any actual involvement in the writing, if he did then it's time to retire because he's lost his way. Horrible.

Seriously?
7 October 2022
You would think a show supposedly about FBI agents wouldn't use a completely made up term "assault rifle". I would certainly hope real FBI agents are smart enough to know that AR doesn't stand for assault rifle, then again these days most of our FBI agents seem to be worthless so they probably don't either. If this show reflected our actual FBI agents they'd be running around working on attacking the political opponents of Biden and every episode would be a crime and then an admission by the FBI that the person was on their radar but they did nothing to prevent the crime.

The show is definitely starting to fall off, especially with Missy Peregrym gone. Her absence definitely leaves a large hole.

At least they didn't take the real story of a progressive killer & make him conservative

I wish shows would realize that we have politics shoved in our face all day long and when we sit down to be entertained for an hour at night we just want to get away from politics.

If you insist on tackling politics how about you take real issues that really matter instead of issues that divide Americans.

How about you tackle the insane policies in New York that result in killers be let out on minuscule bail the same day? I never seem to see that on L&O.

How about you tackle out of control anti-semitism violence in NY?

How about you tackle increases in NY of random crimes at the hands of mentally unstable people because homeless policies in NY are horrible and the mentally unstable are left to rot on the streets.

If you insist on injecting politics into everything why don't you try making a difference instead of dividing left from right?

Of course it's a "QANON" storyline because the only people obsessed with qanon are leftists.
4 May 2022
I had high hopes when Law & Order came back, the storylines were a little clumsy but I liked the characters and I though maybe they were actually making an attempt to avoid ridiculous blue-anon talking points. But nope, they had to go right into a qanon storyline, something that every leftist I've interacted with seems to know more about than any righty I talk to.

Despite the stupidity of the episode I watched until the statement "would be as big as convicting Trump of the Jan 6 murders" which is utterly ridiculous since the only murders that took place on January 6th were at the hands of capital police and they weren't charged. What an absolutely stupid bit of writing this whole episode was.

I've always really liked Jeffrey Donovan, how can he let himself be a part of such low bar writing? What an embarrassment.

Enjoyable, but there's definitely room for improvement.
1 March 2022
They really need to take Jeffrey Donovan's character down a couple notches. I was excited to see him in this because I loved Burn Notice so I hope they give him better material.

I am please to see that the show wasn't full blown woke. I actually felt they tackled the subject of race, police etc. With at least a little bit of two-sidedness. I get so tired of the shows where the cops themselves are jumping right in with the "hey aren't we horrible" propaganda. I don't expect race to be ignored, that's ridiculous, I just want to see a more honest portrayal. Progressive viewpoints cannot be the only viewpoint and I do think at least a little effort was made, hopefully it continues.

I appreciate seeing the amount of time spent in the courtroom, that seems to have been lost over the years in the other shows and so much focused on the police side.

Overall, it wasn't outstanding but there's definitely some great characters - I loved the female 2nd chair prosecutor, she did some of the best acting on the show.

Yay, another show about a miserable person....
3 July 2021
I keep seeing this show advertised on YouTube. Is there anything more peak 2020's than a show about a completely miserable, completely self involved lgbtq+ person? How is this appealing? Yes, please, I want to watch a person whine about how miserable they are for an hour. Here's some advice - You don't want to be miserable anymore? Stop being so self involved, stop thinking everything is about you, your feelings, how you haven't been given enough. Get married, have children and make your life not all about yourself and find out how much happier you will be.

I actually enjoyed the show but then again the bar is pretty low these days.

Warning: Spoilers
I found this show quite enjoyable. I thought the actors were all good, the lead actors accent is a little off but it's not unwatchable. The FBI team lead is a little too hard ass over the top ridiculous, but hopefully that'll tone down. But to be honest at this point I appreciate any show that can entertain me for half an hour without shoving woke stories and ideals down my throat and so far this one has not fallen into that trap (1 successful episode - yay!) Please don't start using the show to shove work ideals down everyone's throat.

Great - another show ruined
3 February 2021
Started season 3 with a bang on bs. Used to like this show but like everything it has to shove ridiculous cries of white supremacy down our throats. You want to be true to reality show producer? Then your shows should be about attacks on Jewish people in New York or police officers being assaulted out of the blue for no reason - that would be true to life not this OMG everyone is a white supremist Nazi nonsense. Oh - and the 2 new additions to the cast are terrible - can't act to save their lives. Bring back the computer savvy girl, she was much better than this annoying "from the hood" person with zero likability.

Awful, just totally awful
10 February 2020
Painful overacting by the wife, how can someone get a tv show and be this awful? As annoying as Fran Drescher can be she's actually not the most annoying in this show, that honor goes to the actress playing her daughter, with a close second to the guy who plays her husband (forget his name, the wings guy) who always plays the same unlikable, arrogant man-child character that may have been charming in his 20's & early 30's but now is just sad. The jokes are non-existent but the laugh track runs full time, This show is a train wreck.
