Downfall: The Case Against Boeing (2022)
From Great Engineering To Great Profits
"When people say I changed the culture at Boeing., that was the intent, so it's run like a business rather than a great engineering firm..."
Harry Stonecipher, former President and Chief Operating Officer of Boeing (as quoted in the Chicago Tribune) February 29, 2004.
The rollout of the U. S. Air Force's newest inflight refueler/cargo aircraft, the Boeing KC-46, had so many problems delivery was refused. FOD (Foreign Object Debris that can cause Foreign Object Damage) was found inside the aircraft. Loose hardware and even tools were in the aircraft. Attempts were made to deliver the plane without a working RVS (Remote Vision System that replaced the older airmen in a prone, backward-facing position.)

A sad commentary on Air Force sentinels!
This movie does not deserve the one star I gave it. As an Air Force veteran, I am ashamed at how the director of this mess treats the uniform and dedication to the oath. While it does have an underlying concern for misinformation and disinformation, this is so far from reality as to boggle the mind.
Even when looking at this from a standpoint of entertainment, it does not pass muster. A children's Disney movie has more plausibility!
I realize that there was a time when the Pentagon made a forceful statement against Hollywood for revealing mistakes that cost lives and sought to prevent the broadcast of those incidents, and that Hollywood responded by making military movies with visual themes that prevent any association with actual events. But after court decisions that stated that the First Amendment protected producers and directors such that they could, in fact, make those movies, I expected the mockery to stop. Sadly, as this movie illustrates, it has not!
This film should be classified as a comedy.
Predators of the Deep: The Hunt for the Lost Four (2023)
Title is Very Misleading
This film is presented in a "semi-documentary/found-footage" format. It is not until 10½ minutes left in this 81-minute film that people begin to "disappear." Up until then, it is nothing but relatives and friends talking about how "nice" a person was between shots of the group deciding to take the boat out and their wretched social interactions on the boat, with gratuitous clips from the sheriff about "the mystery." You see a shark only about three times (may be more but I started drifting well before this) and you never see a shark bite anyone, never see any blood, and only hear one person scream about something having his leg!
A complete waste of my time. So much of a waste, I took the time to write this review in disgust!
Mind's Eye (2016)
Why 2?
Because Malcolm McDowell was in it! I mean, even though you do not see much of him, he is there, but having watched some of his great movies, it was a disappointment not to see much of him, and what we did see had nothing to do with the black hole! By the way, it was never shown either! I watched this right after watching "The Black Hole," where St. Louis gets nearly destroyed by a black hole.
Watching this was like watching that NFL football game where the coin toss was called in the air, and both heads and tails were called before the coin hit the ground.
Too bad I can not get my time back. If ever it were possible to hold producers/directors and actors civily liable for wasting people's time, this is it.
First Signal (2021)
Why I gave this a 7
Yes, the acting and script were bad. But in my last two years in the Air Force I was based in New Mexico. During that time, my duties took me "all over New Mexico and Nevada." That is all I can say.
Blue Demon (2004)
You will never guess why I gave it a 7.
SPOILER‼
When she went to free her ex, there was a Air Force guard in the room. She was holding a tranq gun under the tray she was using to bring her ex food.
She shot the Air Force guard in his d**k!
