Hulk (2003)
You'll actually like him when he's angry.
When I first heard they were doing a live action version of The Hulk, I wasn't all that excited. I'd never really even liked the Hulk and didn't know much about him, mostly staying staying with more popular characters such as Batman and Spider-man. But after seeing the movie I have to say, this is a good movie for anyone, whether they be an avid Hulk fan or someone who's never even heard of it and just wandered into the wrong theater. The movie stays true to the comics (mostly) and the movie is actually done like a comic with a unique form of editing. Eric Bana is great as Bruce Banner, though when he changes into the Hulk (and CGI takes over) you can't even tell it's the same person. Jennifer Connelly is also good as Betty Ross, but Nick Nolte does a great job as David Banner, Bruce's father, delivering a...somewhat long speech, and adding humor by making fun of one of Bruce's "tantrums." Also, the cameo by Stan Lee (creater of The Hulk) and Lou Ferrigno (played the Hulk on the original TV series) is great. All in all, this is a fun movie that stays true to the comics and gives everyone something to relate to (the anger we bottle up, you know you do.)
Wanda at Large (2003)
A Great TV Start for Wanda
I first saw Wanda on "Comedy Central Presents...", then in a great performance in the movie Down To Earth. I thought she was absolutely the funniest comedian I had ever heard. She has quick wit and offers great views on life, race, and age. Though she is on Inside the NFL and Crank Yankers on Comedy Central, this is her first starring role, and it's a great role. For anyone who is board of the same old shows, turn to Fox and watch Wanda!
Charlie's Angels (2000)
I got some action!
Though this movie is way different than the TV show, I find it better. The TV show originally focused on guns and karate chops. This, however, focuses on martial arts and things blowing up. Do you think those moves that the girls did looked familiar? That's because they used the same fight/stunt choreographer from The Matrix. This is a wonderful movie for new and old generations to enjoy.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Everything you look for in a TV show.
If you're into comedy, watch this show. If you're into drama, watch this show. If you're into action, watch this show. If you're into ANYTHING!, watch this how. Sarah Michelle Gellar (I Know What You Did Last Summer, Cruel Intentions) plays Buffy Summers, a girl that hunts vampires, but has to lead the life of a teenager. Now she's in college, so that puts school even more on top. This is a great show. It is a lot more worthy of the title then the movie. In the movie, the vampires just had sharp teeth and pointy ears and could fly. Now, with special effects added, it's a lot less corny. So watch this show! You won't regret it if you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
