Seriously Twisted (2005)
Julie Campbell actress
As per the credits, Elizabeth Aspenlieder plays the part of Dr. Julie Campbell. Other cast members could be added as well, but the Julie Campbell character is certainly key to the story. As a user I cannot add directly to the information page and a comment (such as this) must have a minimum of 10 lines of text. I agree with the previous comment. I had the opportunity to watch the movie on the internet, via Netflix, in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep and it certainly filled my movie-watching needs. Filler continues. I like plot twists and there are quite a few in this movie. I thought the over-acting was distracting. And I thought the very last scene left unnecessary mystery - but some folks like that.

No wonder the Wayne estate has been hiding this picture
No wonder the Wayne estate has been hiding this picture.
John Wayne wasn't allowed to do "his thing" and his role in it does not contribute to his rightfully earned legacy. I think the director set fire to the first engine so as to cut short the banal dialog of the passengers. Nope, it didn't make me care about them.
I have not researched film history in this regard. If this was the first "Air Disaster" movies, which I believe it was, then there were multiple political agendas going on. Just as JAWS didn't mean you shouldn't go to the beach, this movie did not want to discouraged air travel.
The interplay of the characters portrayed by John Wayne and Robert Stack are abysmal.
I voted 3 because it was in color and tried hard.
Now I believe that Airplane! incorporated "passenger with a boring story which caused suicides" based on this movie plus others.
The "crying towel" scene was ridiculous. The sweet music when we see the sleeping boy was ludicrous.
Thir13en Ghosts (2001)
They tried very hard
Watching the DVD version, I watched the directors commentary with great satisfaction. The final movie was edited too choppy for my needs. only a fraction of what was thought out and considered is properly used. It is a sin that the production work they put in is not what they show. Whenever I have to ask myself "what's goin on?" the great flow of action has been disrupted. Credits end with what is hopefully a fad for movie-credit-ending music, rap music. The rap music and the movie are two separate, unrelated elements.
