Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987)
Funniest Comedy ever!!!
I LOVED THIS FILM! It was so funny! If you haven't seen it... You better. This movie was so clever. That's what made it funny. John Candy and Steve Martin acted so well together... It kind of makes you think this movie was a real event. This movie was hilarious. That's not to say it didn't have some heart to it. -It did in several places- mostly from John Candy and his wonderful character. If you want to rent a funny, clever, great movie- go for this one!
Bowfinger (1999)
Funny, goofy, and crazy!--But great!
This movie was 'Awesome.' To me, Eddie Murphy was really good in this movie. He did a very good job of playing two totally different characters (He also does a good job of playing multiple characters in the Nutty Professor.) and Steve Martin was funny. My favorite character in this movie was Carol (Christine Baranski), but Heather Graham was funny too (especially when Bowfinger was filming and she used that accent!) Steve Martin did an excellent job at writing this movie- and I didn't find it boring in any part. This movie is full of excitement, comedy, craziness, and a great story, with great actors.
The Mask (1994)
Entertaining, Funny, great Special Effects
I thought this movie was pretty cool. It had a decent story line with good acting, and lots of humour. Carrey was great! He did a real good job of being both a 'nice guy' and a wacko 'greenface'. This movie isn't the best movie I have ever seen, but it is memorable, and I thought the Special Effects in it were great. Things looked really cartoony and funny, along with some more realistic special effects. This movie kept my attention, and will probably keep yours.
Housesitter (1992)
Great acting, Funny
This movie was great! I really enjoyed it. Although the storyline could have been a little more realistic, the acting was terrific. Goldie Hawn was very funny and very believable. Steve Martin was good too. If you would like a good, somewhat-romantic comedy, watch this movie.
A Bug's Life (1998)
Funny, touching movie with a lot of heart!
I have to say this is one of the best animated movies I've ever seen! (second only to Toy Story 2.) The animation in it was very smooth, and the backgrounds were gorgeous! This movie has a lot of atmosphere in it, with bright pretty leaves in contrast with the blue sky in some scenes, and darker looking in others, all the atmospheric conditions really match up with the story in this movie. If I have to compare this with 'Antz,' I would have to say 'A Bug's Life' wins hands down. For one thing, a copy is never as good as the original, plus, as far as I know, Pixar worked alot longer on the story ideas, starting way back in 1995! This movie has a lot of funny sequences in it (just like any Pixar film so far!) yet it has a lot of heart, and a strong story. If you haven't seen this film: Go see it! It's worth it!
Toy Story 2 (1999)
Funny, Wacky, and absolutely Wonderful!!!
Toy Story 2 is THE funniest animated movie I've ever seen! It has so many gags that both adults and kids can understand, that I couldn't believe it! Even if your old and aunry, this movie will put a smile on your face. Like any Pixar film, Toy Story 2 has a great story, that never fades away. It also has great visuals and awesome sound. I loved this movie. In fact, I'd go so far as to saying it is one of the best movies I've ever seen! I really enjoyed this movie, and I think you will too, no matter what your age.
Spawn (1997)
One of the Worst films I've ever seen
I hated this movie! I have seen many, many, movies but this is one of the worst. The characters did not connect to me in any way, they were in no way likeable to me. I started to wish I had never even sat down to watch this trash. I'm sorry to say that, but it was so dark, and ugly, throughout the whole movie, and I just could not sit through it. Even the special effects weren't enough to make me want to see it again. I didn't turn it off, because I kept hoping for something better, but it was a huge waste of time.
Bean (1997)
Not too shabby, pretty funny
This movie wasn't too bad. I liked it. It could've been a little more like the TV series, but for the most part it was funny and had a decent plot. If you're in the mood for a wacky, silly movie, consider this one.
