I've seen many movies that involved Mel Gibson ranging from the Lethal Weapon series to The Passion of the Christ. I respected him for the Passion and thought it was tastefully done and was a good representation of what Jesus faced.
I have enjoyed the tense moments with humor appropriately interjected in several movies.
Hot Seat was a huge disappointment though. It was poorly written, predictable, and poorly acted. It seemed that there was a such a lack of imagination that the producers had to see how much unnecessary foul language they could interject to attain an "R" rating.
It seems that Mr. Gibson sold out his talent & gift for so much less than he is capable of producing.
