The Willie Witch Projects (1999)
So dumb that it cracks you up.
Makes you embarrassed that you are watching it but you just can't stop. I didn't enjoy the original Blair Witch movie but this spoof is good. (It helps to have a beer while watching it). It will never be nominated for any awards but just for pure entertainment when company is over this is a good choice. You can leave the room for a few minutes and not worry about missing too much.
The Real Blonde (1997)
A Real Disappointment
With one of my favorite actors Matthew Modine in this film, I was prepared for a pleasant movie experience. The week story line wasn't enough to keep the viewer interested and I found myself actually embarrassed for Mr. Modine. This turned out being a very shallow and unfunny effort. This one was difficult to sit through. I kept thinking that it would get better but that never happened.
Meet Joe Black (1998)
Not very flattering.
This movie had a good premise but the slow pace and terrible score were almost unbearable. This was a showcase for Brad Pitt fans as he got to just stand there in most scenes with a minimum of dialog. He acted as if he were playing the part of a robot. The slow reactions of the characters surrounding him made the entire movie and all character interaction unbelievable. I know that many critics liked this one but unless you're a Pitt fan forget it.
