Anything to Survive (1990 TV Movie)
10/10
Excellent portrayal of the rigors of Arctic survival.

Too many movies about being lost in the Arctic are Disneyized views of playing in the snow, waiting for the inevitable rescue. This movie shows the real dangers of hypothermia, dehydration, frostbite and isolation, and the hopelessness of waiting for rescue if no one knows you're lost.

Down Twisted (1987)
"This deal is going down Reno, but not like we planned. It's going down twisted."

Great 80's verité (like Miami Vice). A low-budget but likeable caper movie.

A wealthy industrialist hires six thieves to steal a valuable relic from the fictional country of San Lucas just before the annual parade celebrating the relic. He gets double crossed by his own team of thieves, most notably Charles Rocket (SNL, Earth Girls Are Easy). Carey Lowell (Law & Order, Sleepless in Seattle), the baddest Bond Girl. is an innocent bystander dragged into the plot.

Keep an eye out for Courteney Cox at the beginning of the movie.
