Ghost Ship (2002)
Poor horror flick
10 December 2002
This had a pretty dull storyline without any sense of the horror or excitement it had hoped to have. I'm assuming the cast did this for the money, as there was little else to be achieved in making this tripe. The best thing I could say about Ghost Ship (apart from the opening scene) is that at least it was better than the movie I saw right before it - Halloween Resurrection.

Fantastic movie!

I saw this movie off a friend's recommendation, not even really liking Al Pacino, so I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong - I was blown away by it (I had to watch that single-take finale about five times!). Fantastic movie.

Moving

The most touching of BMW's short films. Owen once again plays the cool driver, but this time his emotions get in the way of his work. No insane car chases, but great in all aspects. Only one word can sum this up - beautiful.

The funniest movie ever
2 June 2002
This movie is a classic, it makes me laugh hard whenever I watch it.

All-round bad acting, story, directing, etc. but it has a charm and rewatchability. Unintentionally the funniest movie ever made!

Overlong and boring
2 June 2002
The whole movie is so slow paced and is ultimately way too long, thanks to an overindulgent wedding scene which lazes through the first hour. Has its moments in the second half, but I didn't find this movie rewarding (instead, I found it uninteresting). One of the most overrated movies in history.

You don't get too many movies like this one...
29 October 1999
I went into 'The Sixth Sense' not really knowing anything about it, only hearing it had broken box-office records. However I was expecting another mediocre 'Mercury Rising' attempt. How much more could I have been wrong?

'The Sixth Sense' is gripping for almost the entire movie. Osment really outshined Willis and Collette, yet the truly memorable bits of this movie were the scenes which literally sent chills down my spine like no other movie has done before. Shyamalan must be congratulated for showing Hollywood that a good old-fashioned story will always be better than c****y special-FX driven movies (i.e.-ID4). My only quibble concerns the fact that the great twist at the end is what stays in people's minds. Before that, the film was beginning to die off with an unsatisfactory conclusion. Other than that, 'The Sixth Sense' is definitely in the top 3 of 1999. 5/5

Probably the most fun action movie I've ever seen
29 October 1999
Wow. What a fantastic film. Okay, the story's been done in 100 other movies, but it's sure more entertaining than any of them. Yes, Jackie Chan's in it, but he only appears in about 1/4 of the film - the rest is up to Sammo Hung and his co-stars. The stunts and fight scenes are something to be proud of, as is the comedic touches in the script, which make it one of my favourite films of all time. Make sure you seek this one out at all costs.
