You Got Served (2004)
I couldn't stand it.
I don't right too many comments. Not unless I feel strongly about a movie.
This movie has to take out a "STAR" loan to bring it up to a one-star movie!!
It's truly in negative numbers.
I couldn't give it a one in good conscience.
The dancers are obviously talented, but that doesn't mean you should make a movie.
Make a dancing video instead!
This could have been boiled down to a half hour video and it would be alright.
Best Man in Grass Creek (1999)
Not Bad for an independent-film.
I will admit that I wouldn't have watched this movie if it hadn't been filmed 80 miles from me (curiosity got me), but it was pretty decent. If it was a big budget movie with big star draw it would have been a hit movie. On the surface, the movie is the same old "guy doesn't want to get married" story line, but how they deal with it in this movie is quite original. The acting was as good as most big budget movies. Much better than I expected out of an independent film. I rated it 7/10 as a regular movie, but if you like originality OR if you live in Indiana it's a must-see.
The Mummy (1999)
Like Indiana Jones, but Brendan Fraser is no Harrison Ford.
Very good movie. (9 of 10) Highly entertaining with superb special effects. It definately holds your interest. The story is a bid unbelievable, but that's O.K. Who wants to spend 2 hours watching A-Day-In-The-Life of some schmuck? (A.K.A. Woody Allen movies)
Atomic Train (1999)
An hour and a half movie jam-packed into 4 hours!
I thought the first half of the movie was good enough for a TV movie once you get past the impossible premise. I look at the second half of the movie as two hours of my life I will never get back! The movie is worth renting for the family for a few dollars just so you don't have to sit through all the commercials (it comes to video on Sept. 21). Watch the first half, then turn it off and you'll be O.K., but if you're looking for a high-quality movie, though, you'll need to keep looking.
Noah's Ark (1999)
Thank God I was SAVED!
I was save from watching this rag since I happened to be taping it for later viewing. My 12-year-old daughter wasn't so lucky since she watched it live. She was outraged by all the inaccuracies. Her comment to me at one point was, "You'd think if they were going to make a movie about the Bible, they'd find someone who had actually read it." Fabulous! (Her comment - not the movie) It was so entertaining to hear from the other room shouting out the inaccuracies as they happened. What fun! If you have kids who actually know the Bible, I suggest you suffer through this movie with them just for the entertainment value of your kid's comments!
The Princess Bride (1987)
The best "Feel Good" movie out there
If you want a movie that's entertaining for the whole family - you will not find one better than The Princess Bride. It's heart-warming AND entertaining. It spans all genres. There's plenty of comedy, drama, action, and even a little horror in the Fire-Swamp. All age groups love this movie. We own Video Stop (a chain of video stores in Fort Wayne) and it's nearly impossible to find someone who hasn't seen this movie. It's nearly as rare to find someone who hasn't thoroughly enjoyed it. A definite 10
