Perfect game is a perfect episode from beginning till the end. Animation was fantastic as always, the 2d close ups of colossal titan were great. The true despair began when beast titan started throwing boulders wiping large number of scouts. And the main moment of whole episode:- Erwin's speech and suicide cavalry charge. Goosebumps. RIP.

I'm gonna be honest, this episode is one of the best episode of the year and I'm not even exaggerating. The memorable soundtrack; flawless animation, and that end scene with Erwin charge. My God, it's all such perfection. Literally follows faithfully to the manga direction.

But... if you think that this episode has successfully blown your mind, then I don't know how you're gonna handle the next one...

Masterpiece

If this isn't a 10, I don't know what is. An emotional rollercoaster of an episode full of tragedy, despair, sacrifice, and hard decisions all for a glimmer of hope.

Story, animation, voice acting, music, everything delivers and makes this episode truly stand out. It's a beautifully executed battle of wits and hearts with years of buildup and investment behind the whole thing.

This episode and the other two that follow him are probably the peak of anime that I have seen in my life. There is no other anime that is going to match these three episodes.

What can there be said about this three episodes that hasn't been said?

By the end of this episode, even though I could have seen that coming, I was almost crying. The message of that scene the powerness in both the animation and voice acting are phenomenal.

These three episodes especially episode 17 are one of the best things I've ever seen in my life. Absolutely amazing in every way possible!

Ok the title might be an exaggeration, but whilst game of thrones has dipped in quality, attack on titan certainly hasn't! This episode shows it, what an episode it was! Even with a dip in quality of the animation, the story and music is still incredible!

Erwin Smith, The Hype Machine

This was phenomenal. This episode blew me away. Perfect Game was indeed perfect. I'll get to Erwin Smith in a minute, but damn Levi Squad vs The Colossal Titan was incredible as well. They did such an amazing job showing the desperation and anxiety of both Levi Squad and Erwin with the recruits. It was great seeing the 2D Colossal Titan again. It mixed really well with the CGI.

Beast Titan throwing boulders and slaughtering the Scouts was painful to watch. Everything with Erwin and Levi were some of the best moments of TV I've seen. Erwin's conversation about his dream with Levi, the recruits breaking down, Erwin's masterful final speech, Levi watching his comrades die, and of course the final scene with the suicide charge. Words can't describe how i felt watching it.

The storytelling was on another level. For awhile the series showed us how Erwin has used the Scouts to get close to his dream. After being selfish for so long, he finally decided to choose humanity over himself. The VA by Daisuke Ono was award worthy. This episode and the two that followed are some of the best anime episodes, if not the best ever written.

The new greatest anime moment of all time. Erwin Smith's final moments, him giving up on his dream, for the first time choosing humanity. After only pretending to be selfless for so long, his final act is utterly so. The despair is palpable as these brave soldiers rush through their deaths for even a sliver of hope that it will distract the Beast long enough to get ambushed bij Levi.

Simply put: despair has never been done so well.

These moments pretty much covers it all up.

Tell me, if this episode isn't the literal definition of perfection, then does that word even exist?

Best speech in the history of whole Humanity !! Goosebumps all over !! To make that speech when you know you're riding to your deaths. Erwin, man, what a natural leader. I wouldn't mind one bit if Erwin is my leader and he rallies me to death.
