Really great aussie series with a disappointing finale
debraj6422 October 2019
I was addicted from the first episode. A good story with well thought out characters, together with fine acting from Abbie Cornish and the guy playing Jacob. However, it felt like the last 15 minutes was just written on the spot to wrap up the series. Such a disappointing finish.

Was an 8 before that terrible finale
gagaismyprincess28 October 2019
First 5 episodes were so so good. Fast paced, interesting storylines and characters. Seemed like the show was going for at least 10-15 episodes and they cut them down to 6. The finale was rushed, didn't answer questions and left storylines open.

Really enjoyable but weak ending.
jsshirtliff8 May 2021
I gave this a 7 but it would have been higher if the last two episodes had been better. For example, an important character disappears, duly noted by main characters and then total lack of concern, just forgotten about and the final episode was just all over the place. Again, incidents happen and no-one seems bothered. Sloppy direction, poor script? Whatever, this spoiled an otherwise good series.

Addictive

From ep 1 I was definitely pulled in by the strong storyline and solid performances from the whole cast. Huge Abby Cornish fan, great to see her in such an interesting role, as always her performance is amazing. Great Australian series, highly recommend.

ending ruined the entire experience
keirafuentes22 October 2019
This was going to be a 8-9. The story was gripping, and the actor playing Jacob could make you forgive some of the questionable acting by fellow stars. He was brilliant. So of course, was Abbie Cornish - as always. "Finally!" I screamed. "A good channel seven show! A great Australian series that's been made for tv!" I told all my friends and family... Now I feel, really, really bad for wasting their time. Because that ending..... No spoilers, just a warning. For a suspense series based on finding out the conclusion/what happens, that was shockingly stupid. It seems like someone had given the writer 2 minutes to scribble something down before a bomb went off. Can you refund six hours of your life? Because I would very much like too.

Emotions Stolen, Terrific Aussie Drama
philhayes8019 October 2019
The series has been solid, interesting and emotional. One of the best drama's to air on Aus free-to-air TV for a long time.

I was let down by the finale after such an amazing first 5 episodes

The cast gelled and have delivered so much.

Four hours too long
jamie_strong28 December 2019
Readers of romance novels frequently use the acronym TSTL. It means too stupid to live and you use it to refer to heroines who lack any sort of common sense and just keep doing stupid things over and over. The three main female characters in this series fit this description to a T. By the 4th episode I started fast forwarding looking for key plot points just so I could finish - and really I didn't have to stop to watch that often because mostly this just dragged. Think the worst lifetime movie but 6 hours.

The two stars I gave the series are for the actors. Everyone involved did the best they could with the material and even elevated it through their talent. One other item of note is that the series is very beautiful: cinematography was exceptional; very attractive people & locations; incredible fashion.

Great Mini Series
mithril013-116 January 2020
A little predictable in places but has some surprises too. Good acting from a great cast although I did find 'Jakob' a little flat at times.

Saskia / Katie Mcgrath
wineihtetnaing2 June 2020
I watched this series because of Katie Mcgrath! I love her acting. And I lover the character of Saskia and the friendship between 3 ladies. Alexander England's performance is also good. Hope there will be Season 2.

WHO SAW THIS SHOW BECAUSE OF SASKYA?
kosminuskosminus8 March 2020
I give this show 5 stars because of the SASKYA actress and acting was amazing

they could have done more with the SASKYA part of the show as it was the main and only serious reason to watch it , i am not saying the other actors have not done there jobs but there stories ..... wellll ..... all the other sides are boring

SASKYA is a true anchored in reality based type of person and the only reason this show is great or worth anything at all as all other parts are just to help her story and thats it . Never the less they MISSED a HUGE on the SASKYA story line as it coulded have been much much more then this

and the ending ---- rushed and stupid

5 stars for SASKYA and ZERO STARS FOR THE REST

... a-guilty-pleasure special performance
bjarias6 December 2021
... all three female leads fill their roles admirably ... yet unquestionably the star of this 6-part mini-series is Alexander England ... he's just absolute-pleasure-fun to watch ... normally acting the-good-guy here he's just perfect in a-psychotic-performance ... many might have come for Cornish or McGrath yet they'll leave remembering Jakob Novak.

Very disappointing end
Rachelm009 November 2019
This series was gripping all the way up to the last episode. Then it went downhill. They spent so long building up a truly frightening character and kept giving you glimpses of what looked like a truly dramatic climax....Then the last episode came. It felt incredibly rushed and all the suspense and drama fizzled out into nothing with all the action being over and done with in a few minutes. I don't know if theres any plans for a second season but I will definitely not watch it.

implausibly stupid characters
piaktw29 July 2021
Good actors, beautiful settings and ridiculously TSTL characters. So many inconsistencies my head spins. Do not waste your time with this one!
