Disney+'s New Medical Thriller Series Hyper Knife has just set a new record for the streaming platform.

According to Variety, the medical crime series' first episode has become Disney+'s most-viewed Korean premiere in 2025.Hyper Knife debuted on March 19 with two episodes and set the record in a matter of two weeks. The series stars Park Eun-Bin as Dr. Jung Se-ok, a disgraced neurosurgeon who begins performing illegal surgeries after losing her medical license. When she once again crosses paths with her former mentor, Choi Deok-hee, played by Sul Kyung-gu, old wounds are reopened, and moral dilemmas are presented.

Series star Park was previously best known for her roles in Extraordinary Attorney Woo and The King’s Affection. Her co-star Sol can be seen in Memoir of a Murderer and Oasis. Hyper Knife's creative team includes director Kim Junghyun, known for After the Rain and My Fellow Citizens!, as well as writer Kim Sunhee.

The charismatic leading duo of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won are finally here with their much-awaited romantic comedy-drama series Queen of Tears. Written by Park Ji-eun, the Tvn series follows the story of a high-profile married couple on the brink of divorce. While, for some time the love between them has faded, a piece of shocking news begins to bring them closer. Queen of Tears also stars Park Sung-hoon, Kwak Dong-yeon, and Lee Joo-bin. ABC has opted not to renew for a second season The Company You Keep, its new drama series starring and executive produced by Milo Ventimiglia.

The Company You Keep, produced by Disney TV Studios’ 20th Television, did not perform as well as ABC’s two other midseason 2023 entries, fellow drama Will Trent, which has been renewed for a second season, and comedy Not Dead Yet, which is looking good for a renewal.

Still, Disney has longstanding relationship with Ventimiglia, who segued to The Company You Keep following his six-season starring turn on 20th Television’s hit NBC drama This Is Us. Based on that and the fact that The Company You Keep only premiered in midseason, there was talk that ABC may give the series a partial second season order to give it more time to find an audience.

ABC has canceled the drama series “Alaska Daily,” “Big Sky,” and “The Company You Keep,” Variety has learned.

Hilary Swank starred in “Alaska Daily” series as Eileen Fitzgerald, described as “a fiercely talented and award-winning investigative journalist who leaves her high-profile New York life behind after a fall from grace to join a daily metro newspaper in Anchorage on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.”

In addition to Swank, the series starred Jeff Perry as Stanley Cornik, Matt Malloy as Bob Young, Meredith Holzman as Claire Muncy, Grace Dove as Rosalind “Roz” Friendly, Pablo Castelblanco as Gabriel Tovar, Ami Park as Yuna Park, and Craig Frank as Austin Teague.

McCarthy served as creator and executive producer on the show, and also directed the pilot. Swank, Melissa Wells, and Bert Salke executive produced along with Kyle Hopkins and Ryan Binkley of the Anchorage Daily News. Peter Elkoff served as showrunner and executive producers.

Tony Shalhoub will appear in ABC’s “The Company You Keep” in a recurring role.

Shalhoub will join the new series with a two-episode arc, acting opposite Milo Ventimiglia, Catherine Haena Kim, William Fichtner, Tim Chiou, Freda Foh Shen, James Saito, Sarah Wayne Callies, Felisha Terrell and Polly Draper.

Exclusive: 20th Television has re-upped the deal for Milo Ventimiglia and Russ Cundiff’s Divide Pictures, the company behind the studio’s drama The Company You Keep, headlined by the This Is Us alum. The drama just received a series order by ABC.

Under the new multi-year pact, Ventimiglia and Cundiff will continue to develop and produce series projects for the studio alongside Divide Pictures’ Deanna Harris, who has been promoted from director to VP of development.

ABC said Monday that it has picked up The Company You Keep, starring and executive produced by This Is Us alum Milo Ventimiglia, to series. The drama, produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios, was the last remaining “second cycle” pilot to learn its fate, but was a consistent frontrunner and a move to a series pickup always looked promising.

Like drama pilot Will Trent, which was picked up to series this month, The Company You Keep had started a writers room in anticipation of a series order. The project also had brought on seasoned writer-producer Phil Klemmer as co-showrunner. It will debut at midseason on ABC in 2023.

The broadcast network has picked up The Company You Keep, a drama starring This Is Us favorite Milo Ventimiglia, for its midseason schedule. The show is the second ABC has added over the summer, following crime series Will Trent.

Chris Sullivan, who has been a part of the NBC juggernaut since the beginning, has been tapped as the lead of ABC's new comedy pilot, The Son in Law.

Deadline first reported the news, revealing that Sullivan will play Jake, a salt-of-the-earth man who finds himself seeking the approval of his new "fiancée Asha’s sophisticated parents, even as he is a difficult-to-impress father-in-law to his daughter’s longtime boyfriend."

"Sullivan’s Jake, divorced, with one 21-year-old daughter, never thought he would love again, until Asha came along," Deadline adds of the show.
