It's kind of watchable

I really enjoyed the visuals, the creative team did a great job overall even though sometimes it all feels very empty, probably due to a low budget. I liked the song at the end that was previewed once in the middle of the movie, the rest of the orchestration felt very generic, absent and forgettable. The story in itself was generic but had potential, I mean, it was done a 1000 times before, and it worked a 1000 times before, but the writing team did a less than mediocre job to make it interesting. There is no contrast between characters, characters are not evolving or learning anything really, there's no real challenge, maybe only the dictator is the closest you'll get to something relatable (that's sad). I laughed once, which is a shame for a kid's movie, so no, it's not a "fun" movie. It would be about time that french people (I'm assuming it's french by the names in the credits) stop thinking that "since it's for kids" we just can do anything and it'll work. It might have been true 30 years ago when people didn't know better, but come on, it's 2020...

kiddie movie

SamSam goes to Cosmic Hero School with his friends in a interplanetary world. He's still waiting to receive his superpowers. Méga is intrigued. Her King father insists that she attends dictator school. Her mother wants her to go to the school of song. She lies to them and goes to Cosmic Hero School instead.

This is based on a French kid's show that started in 2007. It's a kiddie show for littlest ones. It's teaching them lessons like friendship and other kindergarten stuff. It's not for any kid past the first grade. I love the designs. The story needs some work. Hopefully, the adults can take a break for an hour.

Positive Movie with Cuteness

Great for younger kids in the 3-10yo age bracket. Nothing scary and full of cute, likeable characters and there's plenty of good humour. Art direction is great with some really good visuals.

Absolutely surprised

I promised kids a movie in cinema. 3 and 4 years old. That was an only option. I've read 3 reviews and it supposed to be below average. Kids had great fun a little laugh they liked singing dancing and simple story. For me(33 YO) it was great because i like animation and some ideas as a lifetime fan of since fiction and comics. Also even evil enemy was only evil to the point of malicious pranks. For kids it is good in times where after some movies for kids they cannot sleep.

I give it 8/10. But my mark on IMDB is 10/10 because 5.6 on average is completely unjust.
