The movie portrays the struggle of a common man against the reality of so-called equality.
The tagline of the film 'Ye Saccha Swabhiman Sahi Sangharsh' (True self-respect is the right struggle) focuses on the current burning scenario of India and conveys the necessary steps to give the real value to the needy people rather than supporting monochromatic racism in the society. In the digital world, this movie can be used to create awareness among the people about the pros and cons of reservation. It also explains the actual reservation policy and its application.
Ramakant, a self-made person wants to serve society, believes in progress through his capabilities without taking help of community reservation. 'Leaders are made, not born.' this proverb stands true for Ramakant's character. He determines to change the mindset of society through his vision of 'The New India.'
Contrary to this, the film depicts the dirty politics used by Nanasaheb, self-centred politician. He misuses the power of politics to instigate and create misinterpretation regarding castism among people. It further shows how the politician uses castism and racism for winning the election and misuses the power to curb and frighten people and make them dependable on the reservation.
Siddharth's persona shows how a common man based on his capabilities and hard-work can move forward and achieve new heights. This film shows how people who have secured their jobs and admitted into higher educational institutes based on the reservation are not generally suitable for the jobs, due to which common man has to suffer, it demonstrates that how unethical leaders like Nanasaheb for their personal-gain convinced people like Siddharth and used them as a tool.
Actress Vidhya represents the role of Siddharth's love interest. After listening to Siddharth's story, her character shifts from fun-loving to a mature, understanding girl. After realising her father's actuality, she decides to withstand corruption.
The film shows how powerful leaders harassed the weaker opponents for opposing them and how Ramakant was boycotted for 10 years from the community for opposing Nanasaheb's principles. It brought twist when Siddharth realised the fact of his elder brother's death deciding to support his father, left Nanasaheb shocked. With the support of a collector, Ramakant decides to contest election against Nanasaheb. In the movie, it is also depicted how people like Nanasaheb plays with the emotions of people to support racism and how Ramakant brings the realisation of true nature of the reservation system to the society, which leads Ramakant's victory, shows that it was the fight for freedom and reclamation of human personality.
Talking about today's condition, most of the people like readymade things instead of hard-crafted. The current system is like a parody because in our nation we want to omit the castism and still our system provides the reservation based on the beneficiary cast. Now at the stage, people are more economically backwards rather than socially. So we must give reservation if it is necessary, based on one's economic condition, rather than the social status or the caste, then the actual growth of the individual and Nation will take place.
This movie can work as an interesting channel to create social awareness about the reservation system and steps necessary to convey an actual motive behind reservation. This film will have an impact on voters to consider all parameters of the candidate before voting. The movie may have a larger influence on the audience if it is seen on a larger scale.
