Somebody is messing with us; it's better than expected, but not great

As of this writing, there are 27 reviews here. All but a few are 9s and 10s from one name with several numbers. I don't know who or why, but those "reviews" flunk the smell test.

There's nothing special about this low-budget crime flick except for its last 15 minutes, which rise well above the norm for such fare. My pending 5 bumped up to a 7 for that bit of scripting and staging. Patience was rewarded. Just don't expect a 9-10 level of entertainment.

Frijoles Ricos and Plot Holes

Pudgy little pork chop. No way she has enough martial arts skills to defeat a whole gang. At least she didn't demonstrate them. She must have eaten some rich frijoles to have grown that bottom. It was hard watching her be the moody heroine for this whole film. She drank a lot. But she must have done some binge eating, too. And there were plot holes. Mostly concerning the Asian dude. For a guy who could supposedly plan, he left a lot up to the pork chop. He was in serious life-threatening peril, more than once. Did he really "plan" that the pork chop would save him? And he knew she would do all this, how? The not-Victoria bodybuilder girl deserved the leading role. She looked way more convincing as a mob muscle power-hitter. The movie got four stars for the tense suspense. Seen on Tubi, the free streaming site, which has an odd assortment of films; and now some live TV.

Ok very suspicious 9-10 star rating all clustered together. Obviously the director, actress, or producer is stuffing the ballot box. Don't be fooled it's another 4-5 star movie that you will find plot holes and cringeworthy performances. You were warned, watch if you may.

The lead is not really fit for the role and the camera work is weak. This theme has been run through the ringer a few too many times and it's not a revelation. Tough girl gets revenge and has fighting skills. In a nut shell it's predictable and not well developed. How about a new twist, she is physicality imposing and looks like she really could fight like I dunno cast an MMA fighter as the lead?

This movie is great. The acting is fabulous. In short, is this a masterpiece? No. Is it groundbreaking? No. But what it is, is entertaining and fun. Good movie with good concept acting was good. CGI was great Balance movie can be watched if you like sci-fi movies.

The movie keeps you in suspense and in the end rewards you. I highly recommend it Really really like this movie! Yea i know it is not perfect and there is a few bad cgi moments but over all the movie is awsome and they could for sure make a 2nd one if not eve.

Great movie and great cast. Good old fashioned kill everything and save the world.

A lot of cynical over thinkers and self absorbed know-it-alls leaving mediocre reviews or mediocre,at best, explanations. The movie.great watch. This was far better than most.movies I have seen in a while. Great action infused with spots of comedic lines delivered well. A lot of characters arc in the movie which makes for a better movie. Non-stop action and it doesn't leave you hanging or wondering what the hell you watched like most poorly written movies nowadays or confused by the plot or ending. Sit down and watch a good.movie. You won't be disappointed.

I liked this director, but this action movie boasts the most fun and colorful action among the movies I watched in 2019! No movie can compare! The only downside is that it was filmed on a low budget, so you may not be satisfied with it.

It was a really impressive movie! It's a story about a loan shark chasing missing money, but there's also a twist. It was shocking in the reversal!!! It was a really good movie and it was a movie that was not in the world!!! I want to spoiler, but I think the taste of the movie will disappear, so I will bear it!!!

I watch a lot of movies and hate most of them, but this one worked for me.

A super fun and enjoyable time This movie is so enjoyable and so fun to watch you wouldn't realise that the time passed so quickly .

Two main lead actors do have harmony throughout the movie. You will certainly laugh and cry. Friendship bond will sometimes be equal to a family bond! Kudos to the whole team!

I never leave a movie review until now! This is clearly one of the best movies! <3 Don't believe the negative reviews I usually can always tell a movie will be predictable by the trailer but not this one. This movie kept me guessing up until the last second.

This movie is great. The acting is fabulous. Totally underrated.. Heard some good things about this film and it lives up to the hype. A very smart, edgy contained thriller. Great visuals. I'm keeping an eye on this director to see what he can do with a bigger budget. Highly recommended.
