The longest 86 minutes
ravencorinncarluk30 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Just interesting enough to make me keep watching, waiting for something to happen. When things DO happen, they tend to either be implied to be a dream, or are just so bizarre as to wonder what the hell was going on. So many questions, and I'm not sure the writer/director/actor/editor had the answers other than in a vague fever dream he might have remembered. Really came across more as an excuse to walk around half-naked and have sexual situations.

Biting the hand that feeds you...
Stanlee1079 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is an strange film shot not in full scene and I wondered whether that was done on purpose to further emphasise the claustrophobic condition in which the main protagonist (Gareth Koorzen) finds himself. Another fascinating thing is none of the characters are given names in this film. It also is filmed with a tinge green/yellow that gives it a nostalgic feel.

The protagonist goes hiking and camping in the woods/forest & is attacked during the night by an unsighted animal. He is rescued by a man (Drew Harwood) and took back to his home and slowly nursed back to health by a woman (Rebecca Fraiser)

The strange relationship dynamics between them builds tension to the ending. There is a bit of Broke back mountain going on in this too. To say this film is strange is like asking why the desert is so dry & devoid of water? The rhetorical question isn't the only thing that is left unanswered in this. Talking of things devoid then look no further than the ending that has the wtf moment that makes the viewer question why they watched this in the first place?! I am figuratively banging my head at an imaginary brick wall now!!!

Terrible, pointless, just plain weird

If there is some deep hidden purpose to this film, it is super well disguised behind atrocious acting and completely bizarre (at times wildly bipolar) characters who are not helped by continuity fails throughout. Don't waste your time

Time Reaper

Cinematography was good; the rest slurped balls. There were a few laughable scenes to shed some laughter tears over which made up somewhat for the total time this maggot took from me.

Slow, boring, almost without dialogue...

1/10.

Very slow and boring shots as well as dialogues. There is no definite action or point, and those scenes at the water are not clear to me at all.

Not my kind of movie

If you like writing reviews that start with " what the h-ll did I just watch" then this movie is a must see. If your gut tells you after 5 minutes no way, turn it off, listen to you gut.

Boring and pointless

Stupid movie. And the lead male character looked like he belonged in some long gone time with that hair and even the clothes he left home wearing. And where was his cell phone?

Complete Garbage
markneil-354489 June 2022
Complete garbage and nonsense that will be viewed by some (whether out of guilt or being WOKE) as an intellectual love film with a story to tell, simply because there is a gay love scene in it.

There's also a gay rape scene in it.

Maybe he really wanted it? That's the question that would be asked if it was a woman. He didn't. Neither do women.

I think that Russian politician was right...America has gone mad and it is trying to take the world with it.

Interesting on so many levels

To truly appreciate this movie wAtch it twice. I have several interpretations and find them all fascinating. The cinematography and score were both well done. The less is more dialogue was well executed and added to the mystique. I enjoyed this indie film and would watch it a third time and find:think different interpretations.

Too Many Questions Unanswered
RefinaldWelkin25 June 2022
It feels like just a couple more revelations would make this film much better. There's obviously some history and it is hard to tell how much of this is going into fantasy, since the borders of reality seem blurred. While more crisp writing would make for a better story, this does leave a lot more questions and requires the watch to either act as a detective and make some large assumptions or be left with the feeling that critical information is missing.

I think the actors and actress portrayed the characters really well. Each showing different levels of craziness or desperation as well as the need to feel loved.

The ending shows that not everything was as it seemed.
