For the under 25's

I like short films. Some like Astruc's ' Le Rideau Cramoisi ' and the animated film of ' Tell-Tale Heart ' are classics, are macabre in content and leave the viewer satisfied at the end. This one for me did not. Maybe it is aimed at the age group it represents and unlike the films I have mentioned it suffers from the lack of a mature vision. In this film there is a lot of ( for me ) easy to watch ' horror ' and the blood spattered face is one example. The young woman in the film is given a thankless role and her makeup looks in itself often ' demonic '. The Freud quote at the beginning about the Id seemed pretentious and homosexuality was used yet again in thriller/horror fashion. To me the whole concept was not given time to develop and that is a pity because the director shows promise.

Undercooked

Maybe they were on a deadline to finish this film.

Maybe COVID shut down the production.

Maybe it's simply an underdeveloped plot about some dude tweaking for no reason.

"editing" was cheesy and bad. "acting" was corny and bad. And overall this who movies is filled with poorly executed cliches.

It's all about perspective

I applaud this film for bringing the audience on a journey inside the soul of someone on the brink of discovering themselves fully, for the first time facing the reality of who he is in the deepest part of himself. There are so many films about the outward injustices gays endure. This film shows, with great attention to detail in the film making craft, the inner struggles that can come with such realization under social norms that denounce the legitimacy of being gay.
