Sex & Nudity

  • Son is sitting on bathroom toilet when mom accidentally walks in, nothing is shown

Violence & Gore

  • Almost no violence until the very end
  • In the beginning, the Mauler twins attempt to invade the White House, but were thwarted by the Guardians. One gets his eye popped out with some blood, but that's nothing compared to the rest of the series. Almost feels like a Saturday morning superhero cartoon

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The majority of the episode is a fairly light and typical coming-of-age superhero introduction, with almost no graphic violence or intense fights to speak of. However, the twist ending is extremely shocking and disturbing, and sets the tone for the rest of the series as a whole.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Omni-man kills the entirety of a superhero team at the end in incredibly graphic and disturbing ways. Just to elaborate the brutality of the sequence, it includes the following:
  • Red Rush gets his skull grappled by Omni-Man, who continues to apply force on his head until it explodes. During the whole scene, we see Red Rush's goggles break apart, as blood starts running from his mouth and nose and as the pressure builds up, his left eyeball pops out in extremely graphic detail as we very clearly see the empty eye socket with much blood, and eventually his whole skull is very brutally crushed, with tons of blood, brains, bone and skin exploding everywhere.
  • Omni-Man is beaten up, but fends off the attacks. Darkwing comes above in an attempt to attack Nolan, but is violently slammed into the ground twice like a ragdoll, with the first strike leaving his whole face extremely bloody and bruised, and the other slam completely destroying his entire head which explodes into a shower of gore, leaving a giant blood splatter on the ground.
  • Darkwing's corpse is then thrown into Green Ghost's arms, who can only watch in horror as Omni-Man comes in and delivers a powerful punch into her face, leaving a gaping gory hole as lots of blood splatter everywhere, with the fist and much of Green Ghost's body covered in blood. He then uses her corpse to block one of Aquarus' attacks.
  • War Woman then comes in with her mace and strikes Omni-Man, who dodges her attacks before punching her into a wall, grabbing her mace and swinging it at full speed against Aquarus' head, reducing it to mincemeat in a bloody, gory mess resembling hamburger meat from the force of the blow delivered as we see an incredibly extreme amount of blood, gore and brains as well as several pieces of torn skin tissue, and bone fly everywhere and landing on the ground.
  • Witnessing this grisly murder, Martian Man roars angrily at Omni-Man and wraps himself around the latter, who struggles to free himself as War Woman, recovered from her punch delivered earlier, and Immortal come in and beat Omni-Man mercilessly, splattering large amounts of blood everywhere and leaving him severely bruised before he frees himself by ripping out Martian Man's brain in graphic detail.
  • Once free, Omni-Man punches Immortal in the guts, disemboweling him due to the force of the blow delivered as we see his intestines and blood fly out in gruesome detail, leaving him badly wounded. War Woman then attempts to attack, only for Omni-Man to grab her head and violently snap her neck into a complete 180 degree incredibly graphically, with blood splashing everywhere before she coughs up massive amounts of blood on her own cape, and dies.
  • In the aftermath of the massacre, a fatally wounded Omni-Man approaches Immortal, who asks "Why? WHY!?" to him before he cuts off Immortal's head off cleanly with a single hand chop, splattering large quantities of blood all over the place as the severed head lands on the surface, with the body falling down later. Omni-Man then ponders upon the carnage he's inflicted both exhausted and remorseful, and passes out from his injuries.
