- Married Canadian musicians Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida work together to write new songs while also working on their relationship.
- Their romance made headlines as Canada's beautiful young rock royalty, but nearly two decades and three children later, Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace) and Chantal Kreviazuk struggle - like most people - with their relationship. I'm Going to Break Your Heart captures the raw and wrenching journey these renowned singer-songwriters took to find their way back to each other. Filmed on France's isolated but romantic Saint Pierre et Miquelon island in the dead of winter, the documentary immerses viewers in their musical relationship, even as it exposes long-standing wounds and unresolved heartache. Ultimately, I'm Going to Break Your Heart is the story of rediscovering love through creativity, in which music plays the lead role.
- Married for approximately twenty years with three minor children, Canadian pop musicians Raine Maida (the front man for the band Our Lady Peace) and Chantal Kreviazuk are facing struggles in their relationship, despite still loving each other. Following a couples counseling session with their therapist John Grey, they decide to spend some time solely as a couple on the island of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, their previous trip there where they truly felt happy together despite that previous trip being for a concert date. Part of reconnecting as husband and wife is through their relationship as musicians and songwriters, a means for them to express many of their emotions. The many ups and downs of their time on the island, the debrief with John, and the resulting musical accomplishments of the trip (much music which can be borne out of heartache and not necessarily of joy) are presented.—Huggo
