Just fantastic.

Wow! What a refreshing and wonderful movie. Story is everything and here is a filmmaker who keeps it simple and whom delivers a heartwarming rollercoaster of fun. It's beautifully shot, capturing England in the sunshine which is always a delight to see. There are some great performances here all leading us to a thoroughly enjoyable conclusion. Bravo to everybody who was involved.

A film that appeals to all ages
lindajbaker2 November 2019
I saw The Adventure Boys for the second time yesterday, this time with my young grandchildren who loved it. My husband, myself loved it too. How often do you find a film appealing to such a wide age range?! Congratulations Howard Ford and cast. We loved the premier screening and yesterday was just as good, literally had the grandchildren shouting and cheering at the screen, especially the final race!!

Adventurous and highly enjoyable family-friendly film
ViktoriaCowley21 July 2019
Local Speedway racer dad Mike Harris and his wife, Lucy, are drifting apart. She reluctantly leaves her two sons, Sam and Jake in his charge while she returns to the US on business. Action-hungry Harris loves the adrenaline of getting out there and feeling alive by physically experiencing his sport, while his sons have started to discover new ways of encountering sports.

Disappointed by the digital age and the introduction of sports participation via an app without leaving the house, Harris encourages them to continue to experience the outdoors.

The boys venture out through the beautiful English countryside on their bikes. On their travels they uncover clues to a secret stash of stolen jewels, and bring it home.

Hot on their heels are the criminal mastermind gang behind the half-a-million-pound diamond discovery. Thinking they have the perfect plan, they call the Police, the diamonds are found and the boys' father is arrested. However, the rest of the plan does not go as expected, as the children run away and, in an attempt to do the right thing, encounter further problems, and escapades - but who outsmarts who?

Shot in and around my local town of Hailsham, with the backdrop of the South Downs, it wasn't hard to find fantastic locations for the film, including the prestigious Arlington Speedway.

An adventurous and highly enjoyable family-friendly film with twists and turns, comedic moments and a really important set of moral messages.

Thoroughly enjoyable great family adventure film - outdoor adventure beckons
simonc5847221 July 2019
At a time where phones, tablets, Xbox and social media are the first port of call for most children, this film harks back to the days of kids playing in the summer holidays, running around outside with the freedom to explorer and discover with friends.

Like The Goonies, or the Famous Five books, with an element of Home Alone thrown in, it is an old school adventure film about two young boys and their speedway racing father, and comes complete with an evil crime boss, a two incompetent henchmen and a tale of lost treasure to discover. There is plenty of action with chases and speedway racing, and comedy with slapstick moments that will make you wince and laugh.

Beautifully shot in the countryside of South East England near the directors own home, this is a thoroughly enjoyable family film with an underlying message to the current generation to get outside and have some fun and adventure.

I watched this with my two boys at the weekend who loved every minute of it and and the next day I found myself being dragged out to the park with them on our bikes.

Thoroughly recommend you go and see this as soon as you can, and inspire another generation.

Brilliant fun

Went to see this in Hailsham with my kids and they loved every minute of it. Great adventure film, shot locally and has all you want from a family film, action, exciting and lots of outdoors.

Great to see the local area being used in a film - just proves you don't need a massive budget to make people smile.

chriscyster-6059421 July 2019
Saw this great film at Hailsham Pavilion yesterday evening. The story-line is great, it's fast paced so it will keep kids gripped from start to finish. The humour is wonderful and there are laughs all the way through. The writing's great, the characters fun, the music blends in beautifully, the scenery stunning and the cinematography is excellent. Well done to the amazing director, cast and crew.

Went to watch this film today 21st July and found myself thinking back to my childhood days......! Great so see my daughter riveted to the film It was catching from the start to the end. Bearing in mind I assume this did not have the "Disney" budget it was very good and well worth the visit to the cinema. Highly recommend you go along and just think back to your childhood days 😉

Great Kids Film With A Message To Get Out There And Grasp Life!
dibbledoyle19 September 2019
Absolutely loved this film from start to finish. The narrative throughout the film is seen through the eyes of the elder of the two young brothers, our heroes, coming across both funny and engaging! The story involves the two boys stumbling across some clues as to the whereabouts of some hidden diamonds whilst enjoying the outside world on their bikes. The films message stems from their (real life) father who is against the modern world of mobile phones and tablets insisting the boys go out and enjoy the outside space. The father, played by Howard J Ford is also the film's director. His sweeping camera shots and pace keeps you and the kids entertained and enthralled! Getting back to the story and it's a real feel good story as the two boys foil the bad guys and return the diamonds to their original owners with the two titular thieves playing out in Home Alone style. Go see, you'll come out with a warmth in your soul and maybe, just maybe your kids might put that tablet done and get on their bikes. Great adventure film for both boyz and girlz.....

We popped along as a family of 4 to see this fun loving film. It was great to see so our local area bring used (my children recognised lots of familiar locations). The film had a great moral message that was supported throughout the film. Lots of fun and adventure! We laughed aloud on a few occasions. Highly recommend as an easy to watch film for children and adults alike.

Great Fun Family Adventure Film
sscomp22 July 2019
We only booked to see this because it was filmed locally and we weren't too sure what to expect but we absolutely loved it. It was original, fun and full of adventure. Watching it felt like it was summer holiday time the old school way. Also my mum used to work at the speedway track so it bought back loads of memories of that too.

I don't suppose it had the budget of all the superhero films i have gone with my boys in the last few years but i enjoyed it just as much which i guess tells you something about how good it is.

A refreshingly innocent kids summer film set in the beautiful East Sussex landscape, evoking a Home Alone vibe combined with some speedway high jinks and promoting an important message to us all - to get off our phones and enjoy real life! Highly recommended! Congratulations to all involved

Feel good summer movie for all the family
sarahshawuk25 July 2019
With epic rolling photography of the beautiful East Sussex landscape and a cast of characters akin to the Goonies and Home Alone - Adventure Boyz has something for all the family. A feel good summer film with moments of slapstick humour, great, often touching, performances ( especially from the two main actors - director Howard Ford's children) and overall an important message for us all - to get off our devices and enjoy real life! Thoroughly enjoyed it - congratulations to all involved.

Thoroughly enjoyable family film
ctipping-5045421 July 2019
Great film for all the family! So refreshing to see a film encouraging youngsters to get out and have some adventure and great to see speedway being represented and highlighted to a wide, young audience. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie and I'd like to hope I will be able to buy a copy for my son who immediately asked "when could I get it?" while on our way out of the theatre!

ADVENTURE BOYZ is a beautifully crafted film that addresses the ongoing concern of screen addiction.
emily-3502223 July 2019
It's a really lovely story about a loving father concerned that his kids no longer want to go and play outside and experience "real life" adventure all due to them getting addicted to screens instead. Reminiscent of films like The Goonies and Home Alone it's a film that both children and adults will adore.

A must see!

Seriously great family film that's got my kids off the phone
AmyDee329 February 2020
Found this randomly and didn't expect anything. OMG my kids - 8 & 10 - absolutely loved it. Yesterday, I heard my daughter tell her friends to put their phones away and 'lets go play outside' - I cried. It's started to be a real battle to say no to them using my phone. This film completely drew their attention, they were captured the whole time. More of this kind of film please - family fun with a great message.

Great movie for kids
NinaDeee1 September 2019
If you're after a blockbuster movie then look elsewhere, but if you're after a simple, old fashioned, fun family adventure that makes you want to get off your seat and out into the open with some laughs along the way, then this is for you.

Highly recommended viewing for families.
