- The film is about addiction, primarily crack cocaine and heroin. Heroin is prepared and injected, cocaine is prepared and snorted, both onscreen. Sex work, exploitative behaviour and crime used to fund drug use. Some smoking and alcohol use at a party, but not on the scale of illicit drug use. Prescription medication used and one character tries to trade.

- At the end of the movie, a man who spent the entirety of movie getting sober for months, uses a man's drug while the man is not completely conscious. He is seen taking the drug and then almost immediately seen afterwards having what appears to be a seizure. He then presumably dies from the drug intake. Though not frightening it could be very upsetting and emotional for viewers.
