Pathetic display of good stories. Zee5 should stop producing more episodes. I wonder how bad a direction can be, when actors are good.

Well if you are a fan of Ruskin Bond then this show is for you. A must watch series. Very well cinematography , exotic location, mountains. It's not a horror show may be 6th episode can give you chills. It's a bit different from the original stories.

When you say, "What is wrong with India?" This is exactly that is wrong with India. Ruskin Bond is a legendary writer and these idiots had totally ruined this. I request these jackasses not to spoil Ruskin Bonds name and would request the ZEE network to immediately stop this absolutely meaningless series.

If you are only looking for a scary show then this is not that. The stories and the creepiness are moderate but what is awesome about this is the production and beautiful setting.
Ruskin bond stories were never scary, instead they were beautiful and gave a very good feeling.
The production is on point from acting to beautiful locations to soundtrack.
I hope there will be season 2 in future.
Trashy interpretation of Bond's classics

I bought Zee 5 subscription for a month (with it's associated issues), just to see Ruskin Bond's stories come alive onscreen. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I was angry, disgusted and irritated. No doubt Bond's stories are too short to suffice 45 minute episodes, so they have to be padded up. But here we are not talking about padding, we are talking about interpretation. The series makers have totally failed to grasp the ethos of the published work, and have depended on B-film type jump sequences, props, prolonged, senseless dialogue delivery, glaring loopholes and sub-plots which never come to any fruitful conclusion. Some of the episodes have no connection at all with Bond's stories, other than the title or perhaps names of lead characters.
Cinematography is excellent, and it is obvious that a lot of money might have been spent on making the series. The selection of the actors / actresses is also commendable. Most of the locales are fine. But it all seems such a big waste.

Once upon a time, Zee horror show used to rule the TV scene in India. They were good with execution of horror shows during those times. Can't believe the screwed up such amazingly written stories by Ruskin Bond. I'm sure he must have been equally disappointed. Why would you brutally ruin such greatly written stories by the best writer alive? Pathetic direction, poor acting, horrible representation .

If you haven't read the stories and you are fine with good but not scary supernatural stories you are definitely in for a treat.
You can watch it with your family as well.
Great Locations, cinematography. You will find some A grade actors. The back ground score is up to the mark as well.
The only complaint is that the stories could've been a little shorter it's way better than what we get has horror on indian television the emotional scenes here are really shot well.
Do not read anything about the stories if you haven't yet. You will definitely enjoy the stories.
But do not expect to scared by them.
