It's Hallmark... it's pretty typical but sometimes it just doesn't work.. in my opinion, this movie worked! I loved it. I especially loved the REAL snow and snowflakes, the scenery was beautiful. I watched the two movies back to back this evening as I hadn't seen the first. I must say, I thought the chemistry between couples was very believable and the way they interacted with each other seemed to flow nicely. Of course TC is stunning and RB is so adorable, her laugh is contagious! I'm sorry to say I am not familiar with both male leads but I will say, I thought they did a fantastic job. Finally a movie without a princess or prince, cmon Hallmark, stop already with those and give us more like this! Listen to us, we're the ones watching and even though I'm 54, I still enjoy a beautiful love story!! This movie reminded me of my early adult life, falling in love, having fun with friends in the mountains, juggling work and play. It brought back lovely memories... just what it was supposed to do, lol at least for us 50 and over types! Well done to cast and crew, you rocked this movie.

Pleasant, nice cast, nicely moving on as a sequel.
The writers actually explained in dialog what had happened since the first movie without the need for annoying voiceover.
Taylor Cole is as gorgeous as ever But I found myself diverted by another cast member.

What a pleasant surprise to find Tara Samuel in the cast. Not seeing Canadian TV I have not seen her since Sue Thomas. Aged nicely

Yep, that's it. Pleasant. It's a nice story. No surprises. If you didn't see Sean's secret weapon, then you haven't watched enough Hallmark movies.
The gang of four from last year's movie connect on all four cylinders. The couples have chemistry with each other and with opposite couple.
If I didn't like it already, putting Thousand Years behind the closing scene didn't hurt.

Scenery is beautiful. Story is predictable and unrealistic. A little slow, but still enjoyable. I loved the use of A Thousand Years (Christina Perri). It was funny to see two of the main characters kiss at the beginning of the movie (instead of only once at the very end - typical of the Hallmark formula).
Enjoyed the thoughtful writing in this movie.

I would have enjoyed this movie more if I just saw One Winter Weekend. I watched that movie a month ago. I just started watching Hallmark movies for the first time around two months ago, I've been addicted. So I have seen to many movies in between. I recommend watching this movie back to back. It will be more meaningful. It's a little slow but still worth watching.

Generally follow-ups are inferior to the first film, and rarely capture any essence of what made the first movie special. One Winter Proposal follows on beautifully from the first film with both couples showing great familiarity with each other . The dialogue flows easily, especially with Sean and Megan getting much more storyline. They were both great. This is Taylor Cole & Jack Turner's third pairing in a movie and they share great on-screen chemistry together. Hallmark pulled out all the stops with a wonderfully romantic finale. Good job !

This opinion is probably going to down like a lead balloon, but to me 'One Winter Proposal' is one of the few Hallmark sequels to be better than its predecessor 'One Winter Weekend'. Personally didn't actually care for that film, it had its moments and good things (especially the scenery and Rukiya Bernard) but the main plot, lack of chemistry between the two leads and Taylor Cole brought things down. So expectations were not high.
Actually found myself pleasantly surprised, especially considering that and that sequels (with obvious exceptions) tend to be inferior and unnecessary. 'One Winter Proposal' didn't feel unnecessary and works extremely well as a film on its own, one wouldn't even guess that it was a sequel. Instead of amplifying 'One Winter Weekend's' mistakes and making more on the way, 'One Winter Proposal' corrects almost all of them and has other strong assets.
Will get the not so good things out of the way. Cole is better here than she was before, but her presence still comes over as cold at times. Will agree with the few that have said that the story is on the thin side, so there are some draggy stretches when things are less eventful.
Some of the dialogue is still a bit soapy.
However, there are a lot of great things here and a lot of improvements. Once again, 'One Winter Proposal' is more than very pleasing on the eyes. Especially the scenery, once again spectacular. The soundtrack is also pleasant in a nostalgic way, Hallmark films have an annoying tendency of being over-scored and intrusive but not here in my view. The dialogue is not perfect, but flows better and doesn't come over as bland or corny. The literary references are lovely.
Better too is the story, while thin and not perfect pace-wise things connect a lot better and there is nowhere near as much of a sense of "two films in one". Didn't worry about things not making sense either and there is the charm, heart and light-heartedness that 'One Winter Weekend' lacked. The characters are more interesting and Cara works much better as a character here.

There is a lot more chemistry between Cole and Jack Turner and there is more of a sense of growth in the relationships. Turner is likeable and subtle and Dewshane Williams is fun, but once again the acting honours go to Bernard who sparkles. Cole's performance is uneven, but as said she is not as much of an ice queen.

One Winter Weekend was one of my favorite movies from HM last year and I only found out about the sequel 10 days ago and I was pretty excited.
In this movie the gang is together at the chalet again, all of them for different reasons (work) and basically the movie is all of them hanging out, and moving foward in both their personal and professional lives. The plot is nothing special. It is slow at times, but the chemistry between all four characters helped the movie A LOT, at least for me.
The scenery is just beautiful. And how sad it is to say that this might be the HM with most diverse cast? Please, do something about it. One thing I wish is more diversity. specially if they are going to keep doing the same movies. Would I watch a movie with Megan and Sean as the main characters? Yes. Would a watch a sequel to this one? Yes.
The reason I like these two movies may be 1) The scenery is breathtaking and most importantly 2) The chemistry between the cast, specially between Jack Turner and Taylor Cole. Just give me more movies with them.

This is a rare Hallmark sequel that doesn't feel like a sequel for the sake of a sequel.
There was another story to be told with these characters, so this doesn't feel forced at all.
Well acted and played out, this was good fun.
I'm sure a third film will follow too.

I found the movie romantic enough for a Hallmark movie. It does seem as if they are"trying" to be a bit more diverse regarding casting. But in not allowing Meagan and Sean to have at least one kiss during the entire movie was lame at best. The main reason that I liked the first movie and watched the second was because Meagan and Sean had amazing chemistry. I'd hoped to see more interesting things happen in their relationship. The writers dropped the ball at every turn. Do better Hallmark!

OF COURSE the movie ended with Ben's proposal, but I loved what let up to it and how they wound around a bit before it finally happened- and A Thousand Years playing over it made it better.
I adored Ethan; he was cute, resourceful, multi-talented (if there's another sequel, I hope he's in it more!). Syndra's a real bonus: a powerful Asian woman IN CHARGE, and quite beautiful.
I'm also happy that Megan and Sean get back together (pretty obvious THAT was going to happen, but...). And all the additional minor sub-plots were cute and fun. Anyone who thought the movie was boring must not "live" on the Hallmark Channel, and/or isn't THAT big of a fan of romantic comedies.
On the downside, why ccouldn't any of these stars really snowboard very well? They COULD ride, but nobody was any better than an average intermediate. Also, what resort was used as the background, and it's sad that none of the extras seem to know anything about the Skier's Responsibility Code because everybody there was riding pretty dangerously, including Megan and Sean. Really, running into stationary objects in the middle of a run?
On the downside, why ccouldn't any of these stars really snowboard very well? They COULD ride, but nobody was any better than an average intermediate. Also, what resort was used as the background, and it's sad that none of the extras seem to know anything about the Skier's Responsibility Code because everybody there was riding pretty dangerously, including Megan and Sean. -Excellent Banff mountain scenery -Two (!) female leads w/flattering hairstyles -No failing business, miracle needed, or dramatic life sacrifice tropes -No annoying characters or distracting villains or over-the-top romantic drama
The minuses:
-Both couples get along well enough, but I'd call all 4 characters milquetoast. All nice enough, but none I'd call charismatic or particularly interesting.
-Cara's fretting got old fast. Given her age, I'd expect her to be be able to pick a dress. And not obsess over her book and a potential proposal. Did she really think hers would be the 1st novel in history published to universal acclaim.
When someone's trying to surprise you...don't tell them you found the receipt. Also, don't tell your friend what you overhead in the pro shop (unless you want her to try to kill the review, exactly what she did).
-Likewise, Ben's daily fretting about his company was just boring. He spent more time worried than embracing what he loved about it.
Their stream of couple complaints to Megan and Sean, instead of being open with each other, made us roll our eyes.

The most boring movie ever - can't believe they made this story into a three part storyline.
I think the characters are super boring and so is the story. Don't understand who came up with the idea of doing sequels.
I see one of the main characters is an executive producer though so maybe that explains everything. Bored thinking about the wedding story and btw although the secondary characters who are black are also featured - I didn't care about their story either so nothing to see here at all folks.

Sequels often are a step back from the original, and for us that was true of this movie. We liked the original movie very much, and even though you know the principal couple will wind up together in these Hallmark romances, still suspension of belief allows you to embrace the tension and wonder how things will work out.
The very premise of this movie takes all that away. The leads have already found love in the first movie and really nothing happens in this movie to make you think they'll back off. The one little misunderstanding they have really doesn't rise to that level.
However, having liked the characters, this movie is a pleasant second visit with them, and we enjoyed that.

Another Winter Classic

This was a lovely sequel to the first film and although the first film is still my favourite I just absolutely fell in love with a certain scene that everyone is waiting to see throughout the film. Cara and Ben have been going strong for a year to the point where he is ready to pop the question. Megan's career has taken off to the point where she and Sean have drifted apart and she has kinda transformed into a workaholic, but soon they reconnect and reignite their spark. I think this film did a better job of balancing out the couples screen time compared to the first film as much of the first focused on Cara and Ben and not much on Megan and Sean, but this was much better with both couples getting an equal amount of screen time together and focus on their love stories. It impresses me on how much some of the characters have really changed over the last year, showing a LOT of character development and continue to grow throughout the film. Plus one of my favourite moments is when one of my favourite songs, A Thousand Years is played during a significant moment that will make your hearts melt.
Overall, I think Hallmark has done it again and created another classic Christmas romantic comedy film.

Most of this film is standard boiler plate Hallmark holiday movie, but for some reason I had difficulty connecting with this film. For me this was ho-hum with the exception of two things...Ben's proposal to Kara was spectacular and him using literary references like Jack karouac's On the road and F.Scott Fitzgerald's The great Gatsby to encourage Kara to not give up writing just because of one bad review was pretty sweet.

I don't remember too much about the first one in this little (eventual, I'm sure) trilogy, but I see I gave it a 5. So this one must be a lot better. I am not usually a Taylor Cole fan, but she was perfectly pleasant in this one. Her relationship with her boyfriend was free of stupid misunderstandings and silly juvenile behavior. I liked their sub-plots of her new mystery book and his fledgling snowboard company.
But, hold the phone, the star of this show was Rukiya Bernard as Megan, her best friend! What a cutie! She was so charming and charismatic I couldn't take my eyes off her! Not a false note in her acting. And Dewshane Williams as her love interest was a worthy match. I liked the chemistry between the 2 couples with each other and the other two in the foursome. I will certainly tune in to the inevitable One Winter Wedding.

The whole movie is just a boring pointless march to the inevitable conclusion. Taylor Cole and Rukiya Bernard try to inject some life into this poorly written mess, but their male leads are pale imitations of anything resembling an interesting human being.
I will admit the scenery shot in Banff is very pretty.

To those who said boring, I say you have told the rest of two things. One, you do not like romance movies,and two, you probably haven't watched very many Hallmark movies. This is the third pairing of Taylor and Jack, and I would love to see more. They do have chemistry, and both are among the best actors on any movie. I have over 600 Hallmark movies in my collection, and this is only the second to get 10 stars. It will be watched over again. Great work Hallmark, how about a sequel?

This is a sequel to 'One Winter Weekend' (2018). Unfortunately this movie lacks the charm of the first one. The first movie included the characters surprise meeting, while this movie centers on a more serious plot which wasn't as fun.
The lead characters, Cara (Taylor Cole) and Tyler (Matthew Enns), while likable the chemistry isn't convincing.
Supporting actors, Megan (Rukiya Bernard) and Sean (Dewshane Williams), again carried the movie.
Rating: 2-Star - PASS (one watch was enough)

These follow up Hallmark movies are generally not that interesting and this one is a point in case. All the excitement here consists of when he will propose. Little issues of her book and his business are so mundane.
The 2 leads make a nice looking couple. There just isn't enough story for a movie. An unnecessary sequel.
