Unexpected Treat
vortexmanagement24 March 2021
Entertaining mystery which will keep to wanting to know more. Nothing is explained, and you have to watch it to understand whats going on. Not like Hollywood films where you can predict the outcomes of everything before its even started. Good romp through emotions and the cast acted thier characters really well.

Just put your critical hat on the shelf, open a beer and sit relax into this one.

Well done everyone involved

Low budget mystery...
panta-423 February 2021
A low budget movie employing kind of Agatha Cristie's investigation but dealing with interesting topic: eternal life! There is nothing exceptional here: average screenplay, acting and directing are blended evenly to a film which is quite watchable!

So, if you want to see something slightly different, give it a go!

If you love mysteries...

I've always enjoyed mystery movies and this one had me guessing every 5 minutes what the next turning point would be. A captivating cast and an unexpected ending made it truly enjoyable for my family and I.

Heartwarming and fun!

This was our family's Holiday movie and it was perfect. A heartwarming and fun movie. You really feel the connection between Pablo and his grandfather, and how much they care about each other. The story is very unpredictable with twists around every corner. The director does a great job in keeping us at the edge of our seats.

The movie is a fun detective caper that kids will enjoy, but also keeps adult viewers fully engrossed with topics like religion, death, and the afterlife. This is a great family film.

Unique and peculiar tone

Gotta watch it again because there's a lot of mysteries I didn't get quite right. The comedic tone made it quite refreshing and the peculiar characters kept me engaged throughout.

Lovely Family movie

Enjoyed this family movie immensely. The actors were great and loved the feelings portrayed by the Grandfather and Pablo. With a bit of a mystery the film touches on many important subjects - death, afterlife, religion and what is our purpose on earth. Highly recommend if you like family films.

Mystical and witty.

I love how this film is able to balance comedy and drama with such a serious theme. The close bond between the grandfather and grandson really resonated with me. I love the fact that this was actually filmed in Florida instead of using b-roll segments to make it look like Miami (looking at you Dexter)!

An original and unique fantasy story
carmucha4 April 2020
It's really unusual to find a movie that is full of kind and caring characters, and is, most of all, about the love of a young man for his grandfather. Of course, played by the inimitable Mario Ernesto Sanchez, much-loved leader of the Miami / Hispanic Theater scene, how could he be anything but lovable? Benji Leon does a great job as the concerned teenager, with Gene Gabriel being suitable creepy as the Mysterious Man. Zully Montero is as lovely as ever, although she turns out to be something a little unexpected too. And Beatrice Leiva has a small role in which she is positively luminous! Beautifully written and directed by first time director, Ismael Gomez III, this is a truly Miami story, full of recognizably Miami characters. And the rabbits are pretty good too!

Sweet, different, hearfelt...

Worth checking out if you like independent movies with a strong theme, tender characters, and a solid story. It's a whimsical kind of movie that explores life and death. I believe it's something I could have watched with my whole family (perhaps 10 or 12 years and older).

Full of turns and twists
videostogrow6 April 2020
A heart warming film about the relationship between a grandson and his grandfather. The storyline is full of turns and twists as these two private eyes look for the elixir of immortality. I give it a 6 star because this type of magical-realism genre is not my favorite since I prefer more high fantasy like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. But overall I was quite entertained.

Magical-Realism
artlazo17 May 2020
I love magical realist movies and this one really left a great impression on me. Nowadays it's hard to find fantasy films with no superheroes or robots. I'm glad they are indies like this that can entertain but also dive into serious subjects like the afterlife.
