- Peter and Eden kiss a few times, but not in a sexual way (they are married).
- Married couple kiss. Not sexual
- Rape is implied with Mary as a soldier shoves her down and approaches her. Two men smell her and imply they do not want to have sex with her.
- A man returns from a long journey and wants to reunite sexually with his wife but is prevented by unwanted guests. Tastefully done and played for laughs.
- A woman performs a sensual dance in front of several people under clear instructions to sexually entice Herod (she's not dressed provocatively).
Violence & Gore

- In one episode, Mathew has scars on his face as a result of people beating him. The beating is not shown, only the scars are. But this is very mild. (Season One)
- There is a fist fight between a man a his wife's brothers.
- The new season has a scene that shows several men are seen crucified: one of them is seen being nailed into a cross while he screams in pain (no graphic detail)
- First episode includes a woman with blood on her hands and a man with blood on his face.

- Peter's wife sits on his legs and hugs him in the first episode.
Violence & Gore
- The opening of one of the most recent ep shows: a child falling off a tree and getting paralized, a woman suddenly dying in the midst of labor, a couple of men fighting, a man being beaten by a soldier, and more. After the opening a man is held with a knife at his throat (he survives, as it was just an essay)
- A woman loses her baby during labor. The scene is bloody and shocking.
- A woman is killed by a Roman with a sword; blood is shown. It is quite unexpected and emotional, but it appears to be an accident.
- A man is executed by decapitation; the blade is seen falling but the act takes place offscreen.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The last episode shows Nicodemus crying as he can't join the disciples. This scene is very heartbreaking.
- Eden suffers a miscarriage in season 3 this is shown in the opening of an rapid or in detail of lots of blood everywhere, and a very realistic portrayal of the miscarriage, after this, Simon and Eden suffers tension and Simon begins to doubt Jesus (Mathew 14:22-33.)
