A bit misleading

I love this show, and will admit I cried - a lot - during this episode. As a mother, I can't imagine having to donate parts of my child's body. However, a face transplant like this would not happen as was shown in this episode. The recipient is not going to look like the donor. She wouldn't immediately wake up and be able to move her face like she did. There would be major scarring and swelling. Just unrealistic. And if the recipient had as much skeletal damage as was depicted prior to the surgery, the facial structure would be less than perfect. I know this is a fictional show and they have to take some liberties with the surgeries, etc. But this could have been even more powerful had they shown a more realistic outcome.

This show just gets better and better, well worth watching and I hang out each week to see the next episode. This one was probably up there with the best of the series or at least season 2.

I never had second thoughts of rating this episode (14) 10/10... It's the best.... This show is just getting better and better and most of the time it touches the heart.... Makes us feel the pain of others... Especially the pain of the mother in this episode.... Produces have done a great job....

(S2. E14) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 14 ''Faces''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 10/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Shaun and Dr. Glassman took some weed, that's funny. First they took the weed and now they are hungry, lol. This girl's face is disfigured but can you give her a new face from another girl? Does this even happen in real life? I hope that they will be able to do it though. Cant imagine how it is living with a face like that. Dr. Glassman went to find his old old crush and to apologize, that's good and honest. Shaun finally says the truth, that he is not ok with Lea having a boyfriend. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 9/10.

Good but with some loose ends

It is a hell of a coincidence that donor is 100% compatible with recipient, also that donor's brain died in the same hospital and almost same day that recipient arrived looking for a new face. Recipient could laugh and talk same day of the surgery with a face almost perfect (this may take longer it was a face transplant!!), face fitted perfectly despite her deep asimetrical/damaged bone structure (no bones reconstruction, you can see a perfect nose here!) also different size of faces matching perfectly as it was a prefabric mold, I found that rare and unrealistic. I know it is a show, however, writers must pay attention to these details that create consistency in the stories. Missed Shaun at the OR, however, it was a good show, got me on the edge until the end.

Note: Shaun must stay away from Lea she is just using him and is such a manipulator / bad person.☹
